Well I bet that doesn't happen very often. Also I bet there were some fucking high blood pressures in that operating room.
And I thought MY doc prescribed horse pills
Did it just punch a hole through his skull? And didnt detonate? Wtf
Mother of God

Holy shit
Those surgeons got some steel balls. They deserve a medal and a nice vacation after that.
Operating in the parking lot in case it goes off? They're overestimating the capability of grenades a bit. I know Hollywood makes every grenade a massive thermo and/or fuel air explosion but damn.
Then again they setting of alarms and possibly damaging the electrical systems would suck

They're adrenaline junkies, if anything they probably asked for more after because they were in the zone.
>>30230376
it could mean a couple people getting killed immediately surrounding him and everyone in the room dying from over pressure and the entire theater potentially getting damaged beyond repair. And the chance of it going off on the way to it. There are a million reasons why doing it in a parking lot isn't overkill.
If it was at short range, which it seems like it was from the description, it probably never armed due to the short flight.
Still dangerous though.

It would be a smart idea to not endanger innocent people with that unstable ordinance. You sir, are a dumb nigger

40mm has a 25 meter safety distance before it arms. (at least the HP does, i would assume its a little less for the LP)
it probably never armed before hitting him in the face

Even if it's just smoke or a training round, it can have some kind of explosive inside. Easily enough to take out that poor sucker's brain and a surgeon's hands. Serious balls on the surgical team.
Reminds me of when I was in residency. I worked with this cardio thoracic surgeon that was also an officer in the army. He occasionally needed to fly out to Germany or the Stan to do surgeries for periods at a time. He'd always come back with crazy pictures.
One of my favorites was when some poor grunt got shot with an rpg. It impaled his shoulder but failed to detonate. The pics showed the surgeon scrubbed in and trying to remove the rpg from this kid's shoulder. His nurses were all wearing EOD suits. I'm surprised I could ever hear him talk over the sound of his brass balls clanging.

Anyone have the picture of the guy that got shot in the head with 12.7mm and the bullet got stuck halfway in?

Again? How the fuck to Colombians keep getting shot in the face with 40mm grenades?
holy fuck, how fast do those grenades go for them to get lodged in some poor schmuck's head?

What's the highest caliber someone can get impaled on without their bodies being torn into pieces by the sheer force of the projectile?(it doesn't explode obviously). 120mm would easily torn you into pieces by just the speed and the wieght but how about 60mm?
