DCS World and BMS Falcon. I'd recommend you download DCS World, which is free, and then buy the F-15C module for air combat. Should be a pretty good mix of fun and realism that isnt aracedy at all. BMS is unbelievably complex so don't even bother unless you're really serious and have a ton of free time. Go to the /vg/ catalog and open /sing/ if want more info (once you've read the pastebin)

You might also try Wings Over Europe/Wings Over Vietnam. Older games but with a ton of user made mods and add ons freely available.

You can learn DCS F-15C in a night if you watch a few simple tutorials, flying it is really easy, (expect for landings) utilizing it is the hard part. Definitely don't bother with BMS tho.

A game by the name of Combat Air Patrol 2 came out yesterday, it's basically a Harrier simulator a la DCS.

The F-15C along with some other planes were taken form a game called Flaming cliffs 3 and put into DCS. Since Flaming Cliffs is a game and not a simulator like DCS the planes taken form that game are much simpler and much cheaper. The F-15C has a basic simulation of the systems, but a full simulation of the flight mechanics, so it flys realistically with out being ultra complex. The other modules, like the A-10C have a cockpit where every button can be clicked on, and do what it does in the real plane. This is why the length of the manual for the F-15C is a fraction of the A-10C's manual length. There is a simpler A-10(A-10A) if you want to fly that but going form the F-15C to the A-10C would take a long time.

All the Flaming Cliffs aircraft (A10,F15,SU27,SU25,MIG29) are relatively simple to fly and could take a day to learn.

Follow what this anon is saying, also the Mirage 2000C is a full on sim and it's pretty easy to learn. However I'll start with the F-15C/Flaming Cliffs 3 because it gives you a basic idea on how to fly and you won't get fucked in MP.

Also warn you that if you go on /simg/ and talk about FC3 you might spawn a few disgruntled autists but their be people that will be able to help you.

IL2 Sturmovik and it's spin offs are solid simulators if second world War air combat is your thing.
