For a handgun look up cdisales on GB.

For a revolver, I would recommend either a model 10, model 13/65(.357 Grea gun), 19/66(sixties are Stainless)
Colt lawman or Trooper.
Ruger GP 100. Would also recommend the S&W model 586.

For Snubnose a colt detective special(agent is just as good, lighter aluminum make) 2" model 10 or model 36/37 or model 38/49 or Ruger SP 101 for a snubnose.

For cost, I say 200-400 for some, like a S&W model 10, maybe a charter arms.

But most will be 400-600 plus, some like the 586 will be more likely 500-800+(Could get a new one for 7-730 but has a key lock)

an ideal first revolver is a medium frame .357 Magnum with a 4" barrel and adjustable sights, made by S&W or Ruger.
.357 is powerful but manageable, great for self defense.
.357 Magnum revolvers can also chamber and shoot the cheaper and even more abundant .38 Special ammunition.
a 4" barrel is well balanced in the hand and gives much better ballistics and sight radius than a snubnose, and is still easy to carry IWB, OWB, or in a horizontal or vertical shoulder rig.
a medium sized frame will soak up the recoil well, without being heavy to carry.
adjustable sights have a good sight picture. fixed sights on revolvers are usually very minimalist.
S&W and Ruger are the best quality to price value, and they're easy to find new or used.

look for a S&W 19, 66, 586, or 686, or a Ruger Security Six or GP100

Can't go wrong with a S&W in .357 magnum, 4 or 5 inch barrel.

Revolvers tend to cost more, expect to pay something like $800 for a new S&W 686, maybe like 500-600 if you can find one used somewhere.

Figured. I think if anything, what I'll do is gather some reading material to get a handle on the technical aspect of this topic and then take some more sample opinions from multiple online sources to get a feel for the 'quality' aspect that is less warped by brand marketing and based more on experience/preference. Then I'll start saving to buy a solid quality new one as my first.

Looking for a first wheely to keep in the nightstand. I'm thinking about a .32 Charter, what kind of shitpost memes do you guys have for that?

Get a 3 inch Ruger SP 101, .357 magnum but shoot .38 HP's from it. Would be light too shoot and a solid defense gun.
