Assuming we are trying to outfit a fair amount of men with a fair amount of money and a fair amount of thrift, and are fairly organized and operating out of America;

AR-15's, not Gucci but not PSA. Going for $800-$1000 range, possibly Colts. If we can get away with it/licensed/okay for PMC/illegal militia/et. al., drill the third hole and drop sears or supply lightning links to the men. Have a modest optic, different ones for different missions. Maybe like an Aimpoint PRO, couple ACOG on hand, maybe a scope or two if needed, I don't know much about glass. Couple basic weapon lights if needed.

CZ-75s as a sidearm. Full metal, reasonably priced, I like the manual of arms, readily available. Maybe a P-01, I like them, they have rails, good size and if I recall NATO approved. Also I don't like Glocks so I'm being a hipster.

Chest rig? Dunno. Frankly, cheap and available, I like the style, fuck it. ALICE rig.

Camo, Olive Drab. Maybe 5.11 stuff, maybe some surplus, maybe random clothing. I just like OD and think it's a good camo, and it's easy to find. Couple Multicam uniforms for drier climates or deserts. Classic PMC "T-shirts and cargo pants" for the rest.

One scenario:

1 x DM M1A.
6 x Rifleman AK47 (2 of which are extra ammo carriers for RPK)
2 x Support RPK
1 x Team Leader Scoped AK.

This setup is similar to soviet rifle team doctrine. It has one gaping flaw of using the more expensive M1A with incompatible ammo with the rest of the squad but it gives far better long range take down capability that alternatives like AR10 or DM AK74.

RPK teams are designated to suppress the enemy from the flanks of the squad column and rifleman to flank the opposing forces. Direct weapons failures will be highly unlikely in any environment but should use upgrades such as side mounted red dots and replacing the shepards hook with a retaining plate, all other upgrades (trigger, fore grip, stock, grip) are very optional for what are effectively milsurp AK's.

The 7.62x39 round can accomplish most mission profiles cheaper than 5.56 or other calibers and achieve bonuses against indoors and urban targets at the expensive of more weight per round.

This deployment would be considerably stronger with having the whole squad suppressed, head to toe multi-cam, spray painted weapons so as to be as hard to see and hear as possible.
