I realized I need a lot more practice with pistol shooting.

I realized I need a lot more practice with pistol shooting.

I live in California where we can only buy handguns that are on our "roster". Ruger pulled themselves off the roster in protest a few years back, making Mk III's pretty much unobtainable.

What are some other good .22lr handguns that would work for helping me relearn my fundamentals?

Browning buckmark .22, about the same as the ruger Mk series pistols
>>
Are Brownings as hard to clean as everyone says the rugers are?
>>

You could always buy a used one. Rugers are all but indestructible.
>>
Is the new S&W Victory .22 on the roster?

People sell them second hand for about $200-$300 more. Most people also love theirs and aren't selling them.

I love my gsg/ sig 1911.
It's a zinc alloy frame 1911 with a weaker spring. Aside from the different fittings it's a regular 1911.

Fire's like a race gun. Had to take some paint off to get it to eat more ammo. You might have to do the same. They retail at 5-600 but can be found online for 200.

I actualy cc mine. I replaced the follower for a total of 14 rounds plus chamber. Haven't had any failures after 2k rounds.

My grand dads Browning is one incredible firearm.

This, I just sold my mkii 22/45 for 500$ and I could have asked 700. The scalping is real. Managed to find a mki for 350 at an lgs tho. Many of them price off bluebook rather than the inflated prices, so they sell fast.

Also Buckmark is good.

>new gun
>on roster?

I'm guessing you don't know how the roster works. New funs can't get added to the roster. Hope you like being stuck in the 20th century.

What? I haven't heard anything about this.

How much is my SS MKIII worth now? Are Ruger's revolvers affected?
>>

Get a Browning Buckmark they are easier to disassemble than a Mk III. Colt Woodsman is a good out of production old target pistol.

Air pistol. A decent one.
