So. It's not impossible to get a weapon as a civilian. You need time, though. And it's only for recreative shooting, and you can't shoot innawoods or innadesert.

Secondly the light is an Insight M6X. Get the GG&G adapter. It's the best for the $.

>how come you baguettes get suppressors anyway ?

With authorizations. It's the same process as the authorization you need for a handgun or scary semi-auto rifle. In fact, the suppressor is in the same category as the weapon you intend to mount it on. If you intend to mount it on a non-scary looking hunting gun, then a license is enough.

Back before 2012, there was no regulation whatsoever, anyone could buy a suppressor without any kind of restrictions. It was nothing but a tube of metal, legally speaking.

The rear peep sight is the perfect size at the sight radius to just barely ghost the brush guard on the front. Otherwise it's almost identical to a standard AR peep.

That threshold is arbitrary and at least partially bullshit.

According to OSHA, anything above intimate-conversation levels of noise (65dB) can cause hearing damage over total lifetime accumulation. That's been repeatedly proven wrong through large, well funded scientific studies.

Moreover, their "threshold for prolonged exposure damage" is something ridiculous, like 500 days of constant 24/7 exposure. Which literally nobody has.
>truck traffic from 20' can cause hearing damage according to some scientists because it *occasionally* spikes over 90dB

You know you can apply a moderate layer of chap stick to the front of the flashlight lens and then just wipe it off no problem after shooting right? Keeps you from looking like a retard at the very least. I would at least get a kick out of seeing that at the range though homie!

Yes, I am lazy, but the real reason I avoid NFA is because I don't particularly feel like it's a good idea, in this day and age, to literally send the ATF a "hey check out what I've got!" note with all my personal info on it. You are effectively in a registry at that point.

Noob here. Just purchased an 18in mid length barrel but amconfused at what handguard length to buy so that i can utilize an adjustable gas block. I also want to mount a bipod and possibly shoot it offhand nut a 12 in handuard might not have enough space... Recommend ations? This is a longish range build.

>>
>>29914483
Midlength gasblock will be exposed with a 9" rail, and just below flush with a 10.5" rail.

12" is enough handguard for me personally, if you plan to be shooting offhand a lot, just get a QD bipod or mount for it so you can have the space and dump the weight when you don't want it.
>>

You kind of screwed the pooch by getting midlength instead of rifle gas. Rifle would have given you a few more inches of handguard to play with behind the gas block, and been all around smoother shooting.

>>
>>29914604
Well, the bright side is that for long range shooting you don't really need an adjustable gas block, so if you want to keep things simple you can go with a longer handguard and just use a regular gas block. If it's overgassed just compensate with a stronger spring and/or heavier buffer.

If you are taking handouts from the governments, you don't get to decide what you need. There is a reason why if you buy a nice house while on welfare they can cut benefits.

If you are taking even a penny of tax dollars, you should be putting your money towards sustenance and changing your situation. This is why I am for a limited 2 years of welfare (of multiple sources including WIC and housing credits) before you are cut off completely.

This, but I think two years.

Like I was watching an interview on the news of some jobless sap in Flint MI complaining about how he lost his job and is being poisoned by the water and he cant leave... But then said that he has 4 kids.

Like what? You have 4 fucking kids in Flint Michigan? It's not like it was some sudden surprise that the jobs were leaving there, factories have been closing for decades there. And you have 4 kids? What is fucking wrong with you? Do you understand how much it costs to raise a single kid in the US? and you have 4?

As much as my libertarian side tells me everyone has a right to procreate, I can't help but feel like certain people should not be allowed to.

Another example; a close friend is a nurse at a major hospital in the maternity ward. The other day a 300lb, 25 year old black lady came in through the ER (she took an ambulance). She came because she had fucking diahrea. Not only that, but she already has 3 kids, and the baby daddy for all of them is currently in prison for harboring a fugitive. During this pregnancy, she has taken the ambulance close to 20 times, for reasons varying from diahrea, to back pain, to eye irritation. Like bitch, you are the reason why medicine costs so much for everyone else.

Ugh if only it wasn't taboo to discuss restriction of birth rights.

I feel you, though morally it's hard to balance. Really the only things I can think of that doesn't overtly violate people's rights is removing government incentive to have more kids. Something like no tax breaks for having more than 3 dependents if 2 of those are your biological children, better tax breaks for people not having kids or whom are without dependents, easier access to abortion and birth control, etc.

Pretty much all of the problems we have in modern society is uncontrolled population growth and nobody mainstream seems to want to talk about it.

I pulled the buis off to get the Acog a little bit further back.

Final plans are
-light [in mail now]
-those flat rail covers
-flat g-spot trigger
-maybe a bolt on RMR

Don't get me wrong, I don't think state sponsored welfare should be available to anything. "Public assistance" should be provided by privately operated charities, people should be able to provide for themselves.

If we have to have a welfare system, all spending must be mandated through a government issued credit card that is continually reviewed for bullshit spending, and full access to your banking and account information must be provided to verify lack of other income. All the mentioned items should be prohibited besides ibuprofen.

I was just defending my comfort luxury of choice.

Yeah it's really a tough situation. Like what can you do, force vasectomies and hysterectomies? Force abortions? I mean there really is no good solution I can think of. It's the one problem that has no real solutions and has the power to cripple our economy within the next few generations if left unchecked.

>>29915071
You won't lift yourself up if there is no reason for you to either. A time limit could solve it, but what do you do about the scumbags that game systems like unemployment or disability?

Just collapse your stock an extra position if you're having eye relief problems with an ACOG. BUIS are important enough. I'm not a big fan of the flat bow triggers, but that's personal preference.

At least consider a QD ACOG mount, ADM would do.

If you do get an RMR, put it in an offset instead of on top of the ACOG or your HOB will be out of control.

>Just wood stock and grip.

Mite b cool. Especially with some micarta / g10 MLOK rail covers in a matching color.
>>
>>29915114
last year the Strikeagle prototype had the glass quality of the Viper PST 1-4x
this year when i saw the final product it seemed they used a lesser glass quality more suiting of the price range which also has a tad narrower eye relief as well

but i can't speak for the final Strikeeagle since i only had about 5min of non-rangetime with it

OOOH imagine how sexy light wood rail covers could be? Something like maple, oak, or ash. Just panels that bolt into keymod. Maybe even ribbed like an oldschool shotgun pump.

...people game unemployment all the time. They work some menial job through training, and whatever the minimum time in their state is, then they follow all the jobs rules- but work very badly until they get terminated. Then they file for unemployment again. When I was at UPS a coworker of mine did it.

As for disability, the system is broken. Sorry, but if your knees hurt because you weigh 400 pounds, I don't think you shouldn't qualify for disability.

I've only actually shot with the chevron, but based on the horsehoes I've looked through I get the impression it would be marginally better for really close in work where you're using the ACOG like a red dot via BAC.

Chevron works well enough for most everything else, but does obstruct the target some when shooting at 200m

I'll skip the buis until I get the qd mount. I like that ADM has extra risers for the Acogs, that might help a little. As for the RMR, I'll try it on the top before anything else. I'm not keen on 45° mounts.
