my first was a surplus one too. still a favorite.
the only gun that was so nice I bought it twice
>>29890352
Those grips are mean as shit. I expect mine to show with worn out rubber target grips. Those customs or something?
>>29890339
Clips are en-bloc magazines
>>29888755
>>29890379
I had one and sold it. Pretty useless as a pistol. Sbr on the other hand...
>>29890097
Thats kinda beside the point if a person is choosing one gun for a lifetime, why not choose the best of the breed
>>29890367
the grips mine came with were wood.
comfortable to hold but narrow at the top so the recoil started to sting the thumb web after a while.
the aftermarket grips here >>29890352 are from Karl Nill. they've got other MR 73 grips but I haven't seen the ones with the grip horn/beavertail on their site in a long time.
the specific model is
>MR73 with horn, stippled, fi.-gr. slight palm rest, open back
product number
>MR03UHO
you could email them and ask if they've discontinued it or if they plan to make more
honestly if they made that style for S&W and Colt frames I'd buy one for each revolver I own.
also congrats, hope you enjoy your new french wheelgun

Turkey is a fucking NATO member stop watching so much Yankee Marshall
>>29890959
NATO member. So they take funding from NATO, and continue to support NATO enemies? You're right I must be confusing them with the bad guys. Thanks roach!
>>29890912
You can get high quality 1911's for a few hundred less than $1500 (referring to Dan Wesson)
Springfield armory also exists bruh, can get a RO for $700 or less and even if sucks their warranty is beast. Major downside I see with it is a lack of front strap checkering though.
>>29888779
This senpai.
Currently my home defense gun, USPSA gun, woods gun (WA, no real grizzly bears and I load it with 147gr hard cast +P), and funnest gun.
>>29890996
How are the loaded models compared to the RO?
>>29890996
Front strap checkering is for people that dont shoot regularly. Go shoot a TRP for 8 hours without gloves and get back to me
>>29890346
here's mine.
>>29890480
no problem, and I'll look forward to it

Unless you're brown. Then stay away.
Probably a Glock 19, handles almost as well at a Glock 17 and is a good deal more concealable.

>>29890912
So when were you diagnosed?
I only own a Ruger 9E, first gun since no one in my family has any.
Did I do good, or am I dumb as shit?
>>29891276
Post ur guns time stamped. Maybe if you shoot with gloves or 1 box a week front strap checkering is desirable. People that actually shoot quantity don't want that shit digging into their hands.
I will have this gun someday...

Jesus that is an ugly safety. I mean, the ambi on mine isn't great looking, but that is just nasty.

I can appreciate that your ugly safety is significantly more usable than the standard safety (at least with those grips). Good choice.

>>29893840
I bought mine used, cleaned it to the best of my ability (learning as I went), and have only had the time to put 50 rounds through it. Jammed on the 5th, but then I had no issues with it after.
Handles well, clip is large, good weight.
So-so I guess, but then again, I'm super inexperienced.
My Baby....
>>29900516
If it jammed on you that early and never again it was likely you limp wristing or something. Glad you enjoy it. I like ruger stuff. I really want a rpr in 6.5 creed.
>>29900901
Yeah, I was being a pussy about it because I wasn't sure if I had cleaned and oiled it correctly, I found mud or something on the rails and in the crevices when I cleaned it, and I was at an abandoned gun range, so it was slightly illegal to be shooting there.
Oh wow, the rprs look beautiful
>>29891137
Well it's here. As you can see, all of the Classic haters were right. It is totally clapped out with no finish at all, just solid rust.
This thing is tight as a drum. The bore looks brand new, the grips are awesome and unworn, and that DA trigger pull, woof. A little heavier than my 686 (with Wolff springs so not really fair) but it is BUTTER smooth. I can't wait to shoot the thing.
Between my modest collection of handguns past and present I would keep the G19. It truly is Glock Perfection®.
>>29888755
