Hi /k/lowns.
just found this in the local hock shop.
My guess is that its a mass produced 'antique' from India.
Anyone know anything thing else about it ?
Im going to give it to me ol mum
She is into kooky old 'oriental' collectibles
It was $10
So I think it was a good buy

Doesn't look like it's actual pattern welded steel judging by this picture
Stick it on display somewhere that doesn't show this side of the blade, I can't imagine that it'll be too good as a knife
Definitely a Mughal dagger replica. Can't find the exact maker, but very similar ones are selling on amazon for around $100. It's weird, Indian wallhanger shit. Cool find anyway.

Looks pretty similar to the "antique" my buddy brought me back from India.
Not useful for anything obviously, but it's definitely a neato wall hanger or gift. I'd say you dun good for 10bux.
Yeah. It will never be used to cut any thing.
And it looks like no one ever has.
Nor has anyone tried to put a edge on.
It will used as decoration, mum has a great collection of asian cutlery.

Thanks anon!
I think I have made a good score for $10
Any idea what the material on the hilt might be?
Its definitely organic, my guess is bone....

I bought the exact same knife in India only with a different head on the grip. They sell them for about £10 in the Himalaya areas and about £40 in the big cities like Agra And Delhi. They sell them in all different sizes too including some the size of short swords. They also claim it has inlaid silver but it seems unlikely.

Sorry forgot to say that the hilt is supposedly Yak bone
Thanks to the anons who gave me some input .
I have just been having a quick look on the www at mughal weapons, this could make an interesting thread.
Check out this nasty bit of work. . ..
U wouldn't want to slip and fall on that in the shower
