completely adds to my love for "featureless" rifles, since it looks like an AK without all the scurry salt weapon gadgets

>>
>>29727689

what's a cheaper round altogether? 54 or 39?
i was looking towards an RAA Saiga or something, definitely has to be slavshit though
>>
>>29727714
not burger so I have no clue, but I would guess 39 if you can still get the tincans
>>
>>29726357
go for a lighter shade of finish, a nice tan wood (probably what you get if you just sand it down)

or just go look at any of the huge number of furniture options for VEPRs. OP pic looks good but that stock is still ugly to me in shape.

since you own a vepr i'll assume you dont care about owning only authentic AK variants, so just go be creative and ignore the memes. it was never an AK, or a psl, or an SVD to begin with, so go make it into whatever you'll have the most fun shooting with while ignoring memes

I've wanted that gun for sooo long, waiting for one to show up. they go for like 500$ here in norway, a bargain for what you get.

but they are soooo rare. And I think its impossible to import one from finland, since shitty ups/dhl and other companies wont ship guns
>>
>>29726357
I think it's ugly because the stock is big and weirdly shaped. Making it an adjustable comb fixes that I think.

If you want to go for a more modern route you can buy a folding AR stock converter like I did with mine and install Magpul PR-S on it, or go with what these guys recommended

I'm pretty sure you can find the woodkits online somewhere as an option.
>>
>>29726357
Buy the SVD wooden stock & handguard set from atlantic firearms
>>
>>29728568
it looks great but the key mod is way to weak to oper8.
>>
>>29728659
i was thinking the same thing. similar looks as the ironwood set but at half the price.
>>
>>29729621
Aye, I admit I went with the Krebs handguard primarily for the look. I was trying to create a more futuristic DMRVEPR and that looked the best to me.

the wood that comes with veprs is shit. nothing of value is lost. i dont even have a pic of my vepr with wood on it (not the vepr pictured, different rifle), i think i put three coats of birchwood caseys gun stock finish on it and called it 'good enough'
>>
>>29730195
You have to strain it dark to hide imperfections, but keep the pattern
