Su-24 performing low altitide airshow for USS Donald Cole in the Baltic Sea. You can hear rapturous audience calling out for the maker at some point.

One of these day, one of their planes is going to eat shit and they'll cry about it being shot down....I get the whole fly over thing, but this low level flying is just dangerous. And people defend these low level passes as intel gathering, as if the exact ship and it's mission wasn't published publicly weeks before it entered the area.

>One of these day, one of their planes is going to eat shit and they'll cry about it being shot down
You mean like what happened in Turkey?

point taken

Donald got rekt here if they were armed
>>
>>29595552
Those planes would have been shot down without a second thought if they were armed.

There's no reason for them to open fire. There is no war.

This is just how the Russians say hello.

>let's fly 30 feet from a ship in one of our most famously unreliable and difficult to fly attack aircraft
For what purpose? Like if you wanted to do this why not use a Flanker or a Fulcrum so you don't run the risk of it rolling over into the American ship and starting WWIII?

>one of their planes is going to eat shit

In 1968 they lost a Tu-16 who was making low passes over the USS Essex:

Engine failure led to a wing dropping and then it cartwheeled in. Essex had planeguard helicopters up because they had been about to start air ops, but owing to the nature of the crash they couldn't do anything.

Russians are unable to communicate in anything other than vodka runes and needlessly dangerous act.
>>
why haven't we shot down one of these fuckers yet?
if we flew some blackhawks and an F15E over a russian ship, they would light us up like a goddamn christmas tree.
but they flyby us, and we sit here with our thumbs up our asses.
at least make it known that doing this is an act of aggression.

Because that Russia would come up with pictures proving US was buying ISIS oil. And because civilized people don't respond with force to childish provocations
>>
>>29597436
U.S.A. is supposed to be the more responsible nation.

Russia just wants to be on TV
>>
>>29597436
And the moment they shoot down a plane buzzing a ship is the moment their Vodka boat gets a torpedo up the ass.
>>
Could Russia beat the US in a total war, no nukes. Or US against Russia and China?
>>
>>29595048
How the did you get that video? It's unlisted.
>>
they do this all the time to finland. just fly into their airspace, cheeki breeki about for a few minutes, ignore radio comms, and then leave.

The way I see it, this is nothing really frightening. Scandinavians get this shit all the time. I see China as more of a threat than Russia, and they would even have substantial difficulties even trying to go to war with Malaysia. As other anons have stated one of these days a Russian fighter pilot is gonna get bitch slapped, and Russia is gonna do nothing but whining and pitching a fit but do nothing in retaliation, while the US gets a huge pat on the back by it's NATO bro's.
>>
>>29597436
back during the cold war this kind of cowboy shit was common for both sides, the US moved on and now we're more concerned about how much it costs to replace needlessly lost pilots and equipment rather than playground provocations of the bully we already beat.

the russians still think its 1986
