Can anyone explain what a German gunshop means by "Maßlauf"? What makes it different from any other gun barrel?
Here's an example: http://www.egun.de/market/item.php?id=5910514
Maß = either "measurement" or "custom made"
Lauf = barrel/rifled barrel
best i can figure it translates to "level run"
perhaps it means a flush non protruding barrel
or measure running. maybe indicating that the bore is still good, and the rifle still headspaces correctly?
It means that the rifle was refitted with a new barrel.
