Usually they brandish a gun or they lift their waistband. Never heard of it being trained on someone in my entire career except maybe convenience store robberies but even then the store is usually empty except for the perps, usually holding the gun in the open on someone is how you get the police called on you by some witness or bystander.

Anyways what I personally would do, you just hand him the wallet and then train the gun on him and tell him to drop the weapon and get on the ground, then cuff him, or lethal force if he doesnt follow commands and has the gun still in his hand and does not get on the ground.

Call radio backup/911 and wait for others to arrive.
