If you really wanna do JTAC shit as an officer, you should be able to meet a board as an ALO hopeful and go through the TACP schoolhouse.

How are the odds against me? If I manage to land the contract to go through STO selection and training, it is completely on my merrit from that point yes? I understand. Max out all PT tests and try to out perform everyone academically. What else would you recommend? Do you know what they look for in civilians who are going for the OTS program? Typically they aren't picking civilians because they don't make it through. They want prior CCT or SOWT guys primarily. If they do select you awesome. Even still you're looking at a 95% washout rate. Train water con hard. It's all based on merit.

You could probably get an RPA pilot slot really easily. My friend just went through OTS as one, commissioned of the street. We are dying for Predator and Reaper pilots. Global hawks too, but enlisted will be flying those soon

25m underwaters with flutter kicks mountain climbers inbetween on a 2 min pace wearing full jock up (ABU's, BC, flooded mask, snorkel.)
Over and back (10 ups with fins on)
Buddy breathing 2 mins with full harrasment. (Miss 3 breaths capped twice in a row as well.)

So what is supposed to happen? Brief the water in until you begin drowning and they fish you out? Or be able to hold your breath well enough that the water never gets into your lungs? WIth the first question, I mean more so, is it inevitable that they are gonna induce drowning on you to see what kind of sand you got?
