I know for a fact that Finnish bullets (and therefore the bores on Finnish barrels) have a different size compared to Russian bullets.

I want to know what the practical implications are, since lots of you have Finnish nuggets.

For M27 and 28, yes. You need to use the Finnish 7.62x53R ammo on those, otherwise you risk welding bullets into your barrel.

With M39, you can use ruskie 54R ammo. It was designed so that troops could use looted Russian ammo.

This is not completely accurate.

The rifles that are the same or close enough bore diameter to the Russians are the WWII Era m91s, the M39, and the M91/30. Other rifles have bores close to .308 instead of .311.

The Finns made their own M91s and M91/30s. And some of the original M91s built between 1925 and 1927 have the smaller bore diameters. Do some research before you post.
