The Dark Zone stuff was a total fail and if they'd done a real beta it could have been salvaged, but instead they did a joke beta to farm money from people like me. FeelsBad.jpg.

The game is NOT bullet spongey at all and I get tired of hearing that from every other asshole who doesn't even play.
Use damage gear, damage talents or damage perks in some combination to get the results you want. I'm about half damage and I kill hard mode purple armored enemies in a mag dump with margin for error to miss a little or be a little too far away.

Offense can get downright stupid if you stack for a specific weapon.

It's true the weapon system is bad and forces CONSTANT replacement, but I've never felt like enemies were too hard to kill. There's tons of damage bonuses all over the skills, perks and talents and you very easily can stack damage gear if that's not enough.

The skills and stuff weren't available in beta so I assume the "bullet sponge" stuff is from people who played hard mode missions in beta with shit gear.

The only problems I have with it are the butchering of the AK names (AK74M is called AK-47M, AK103 is called black market AK74, etc.)

Other than that, I quite like it.

Especially the fact that the USS intrepid will be part of the Incursions DLC and that you can already glitch through the fence on the street to get to it.

When you put me in a realistic enviorment, in a real location, against humans, I assume my bullets will kill in 3-5 hits.
The damage just doesnt work for me, customization is good, but Im more excited for Wildlands.

The overwhelming majority of Borderlands guns were way too inaccurate for me. I never could get into it. Ended up cheating or spamming abilities.

i found it boring and more grindy than warframe.

i was hoping it would be a 4 player co-op open world survival game mostly pve with some pvp zones, set in a post-apoc near future NY

complete with a very large weapon variety (not filled with reskins), a thirst/hunger/infection system, customization system, and be much more tactical like ghost recon or swat or arma.

instead i'm stuck with buggy PBOs in arma 2 or arma 3 with low performance and shitty optimization instead of a focused narrative that friends can work through.

the rpg health bar enemies are boring, the weapons are either meme guns or reskins of like 15 different ones, there is no real hunger or thirst or infection system beyond giving away food/water/medicine to random civvie spawns, and the darkzone pvp is glitchy and equally boring.

arma is pretty good. project reality and squad are good too. swat games and ghost recon depending on which ones. stalker is a classic /k/ game incarnate practically.

/k/ wants games that reward tactical thinking and have a fairly large open world that tries to be realistic with resources to manage (depending on the game). rpgs tend to not work that well except for a very few select ones like deus ex or jagged alliance and both of those games the rpg elements are light touch.
