Saw this and I got to thinking, are there any other cases of WWII era equipment still being used today? I know the norks still use some T-34's, and those STG44s in Syria but besides that are there any more cases?
>>
I like to see old tanks and stuff still being used, unless its as target practice or something.

Some of these rifles are built on receivers from the 19th century.

>Shermans no match for german tanks
>Germans only fielded panthers and tigers

I think for the purposes of South America, any tank is a good tank. It remains more or less immune to small arms fire, its guns still work and anything that would shrek it would also shrek whatever else they can buy.

Expecting it to perform against more modern stuff without upgunning like the Israelis or the French did is idiocy, but I think it'd still do pretty well in an infantry support role.

Were shermans ever molotov proof?

>>28386237
It certainly never fought the Kriegsmarine you contrarian motherfucker.

>The Shermans—which were delivered in 1980 from Argentina—and the Stuarts—which were donated by Brazil in the 1970s—have been hopelessly obsolete for decades. One could argue that the Sherman was already obsolete during World War II, where it was no match for the Wehrmacht’s Panthers or Tigers.

national interest is a fucking joke of a site

A lot of war monument T-34s and ISs in the Ukraine region were cleaned up and driven right off their pedestals and into battle.

South Korean MP (I think?) still wear M1 pot helmets.

Philippine militia groups have Garands and BARs and whatever else they can scrounge up

All Israeli M60s are retired.
