As far as a I can tell .357 can be had for around the same price as .45 if you look around, so I'm guessing this is taking .38 special into account.

Of that's what you want then that's exactly what you'll get with either cartridge, but .357 Mag is more affordable and you can use .38 Spcl too.

I've got both (not SA though), and I usually go for the .357.
