Can you buy M9 pistols in Europe?
Not the Beretta 92, the M9.

How close are commercial M9 pistols to the military M9?

>How close are commercial M9 pistols to the military M9?
They don't shoot in full-auto and can't fire armor-piercing hollowpoints, but other than that pretty similar.
>>
>Europe is one Nation

Here in Germany you cant since its a "weapon of war" but im sure in other EU countries you can
>>
>>28277147
Wtf kind of stupid rule is that?
You get the 92 though right?
>>
>>28277248
Yes.
>>
>>28277260
So no surplus?
Frankonia is a German site, and they sell the K98k and Swiss K31 and such.
Semi-auto ARs and H&K military rifles too.
>>
>>28277272
You are allowed to have every semi automatic firearm that wasn't classified as weapon of war. But thats often retarded.

Typ 38: Weapon of war
K98: Hunting rifle

H&K SL-6: Sporting rifle
SKS: Weapon of War
>>
>>28277297
Maybe the K31 is not considered a weapon of war because the mountain jews didn't shoot shit with them other than practice targets?
>>
92 thread?

I'd like to doll up my 92fs a little, is Wilson the only game in town or are there other brands/parts worth looking at?

In a number of European countries civilian ownership of military issue cartridges is prohibited. That's the only reason things like 9x21 exist; it's illegal to own 9x18 or 9x19.

Depends on what you mean by "doll up". Are you thinking purely cosmetic, like the Wilson grips/safety selector? Or are you also meaning parts like springs and trigger units, etc?

Function primarily, I've never followed the Beretta aftermarket so I'm at square one. Wilson sells a ton of shit http://shopwilsoncombat.com/Beretta-92_96/products/465/2/0. What's worth doing, spring kit, action tune, recoil spring, ect? I'll do the decocker for sure, I'm having a tough time deciding on grips for the inox maybe a darker wood with an medallion inlayed. Pic is my inspiration for grips.
>>
>>28277064
>Not the Beretta 92, the M9.
they're literally the same fucking thing.
>>
>>28280270
Does your Inox come with all the SS stuff like trigger, mag release, etc? Mine came with the black stuff. As for the rest, Wolff sells some pretty good spring kits, etc. I have their Trigger conversion unit in my Brig, and I really like the way it feels. Upgrade the recoil spring and guide rod if you happen to have one that's plastic. Wood grips on Inox Berettas are sexy as fuck and I definitely recommend them.
>>
>>28280180
I'll also add the 92f I want to tune up I bought used years ago and has a pretty high round count so I'll take the opportunity to swap out some wear/failure parts.
>>
>>28280344
SS it's an Italian gun 1991 manufacture date.
>>
>>28280366
>wear/failure parts.
you mean the entire gun?

Actually they were used in various small incidents around the border.
>>

that's exactly what I looked like when I posted that.
>>
>>28280312
There actually is a difference. Sure not a difference in overall function, but they are different.
>>
>>28280493

Sure

One says M9 on the slide. That's literally it.

Aside from the rollmarks there are just a couple cosmetic differences.
>>
>>28281242

I don't know about the backstrap radius but ALL earlier 92fs had straight dustcovers
>>
>>28281418
So? The slanted dust cover on a 92FS as been the norm for over 20 years.

>>28281418
The early M92's did have straight dust covers.
It's my understanding the angled dust cover came about to strengthen the frame for the .40 S&W models. Since the same frame is used for both guns, it made financial sense to only produce the angled dust cover frame for both chambering. The M9 remained the same since the specifications for the pistol have not changed.

M92's typically have three dot sights while the M9 have dot and post sights. M9 frames also lack the 'read manual before use' warnings of the M92's.

Cosmetic differences aside, they are the same pistol.

OP here, I'm Belgian.

No such rule exists for military cartridges, or "weapons of war" like in Germany.

I own a Czech military surplus Vz58 in 7.62x39.
>>
>>28280312
No they're not.
The differences are minor, but they're there.

No, you can't in Western Yurop.

The M9 is the exact same as the 92 except that it's made in the US for the army.
>>28277147

you can technically own them but we stopped the legal import of guns somewhere in the 80's if I remember correctly.
>>

No it isn't.
>>
>>28280078
No, its pretty much the opposite; military cartridges are usually the most popular (ie. 9x19 and .308) due to the availability and price of ammunition.
>>
>>28277064
Yes, until the great ban of july 2016.
>>
>>28284049
There are countries where military cartridges are forbidden.
Italy for instance bans the 9x19mm, they have 9x21 instead.
Because that kills fewer babies per square inch of clip.
>>
>>28277064
you could, but why import an M9 from the US when you can buy an Italian 92FS?

>>28277147
wrong. only full autos are weapons of war. you can buy a P8 without problem.
>>
>>28284013
once it was. the Army just hates change so they set some old version of the 92 in stone.
