I bought a cheap mod of Zero Hour called "Blitzkrieg". Basically, it's World War 2 where you fight as superpowers.

Pretty based, I would pick the Germans and they would let you develop research for Horten stealth bombers and Me-262's. The Americans were ebic too, you could develop nukes.

Ah I fucked around so much with the ini files, especially Contra and RotR. I let Alexandra's super anti-ballistic death laser target ground and air units too, which basically let me build death stars.

And for the Russian spy satellite red aura, I changed it so the red visual cone became a microwave death ray too.

Actually now that I think about it, I've probably fucked around with every beam unit so that they could be super OP and target ground units (always wanted to make AA units do that), and I have crashed my computer many a time because too many SFX became the result.

And Russia as a steamrolling faction, PAKFA, ugraded T-80s/72s/90s called Lodiaks, MSTAs, Berkuts, other cool shit

Been playing it since 08, honestly/k/ as fuck, and seriously fun. Theyre working on 2.0 which adds a fuckton of other stuff and a dynamic campaign

Think of it as the true sequel to Zero Hour story was, the amount of lore for this mod is honesty pretty impressive

He would only do it while having been targeted with a building, but he went full autism mode if you had an army blowing up all the buildings anyway.

He'd run up to a building waving his hands, it would get destroyed by something else, he would change targets, wave his hands, and keep doing this for every building then just stand there doing nothing once the base was gone.

Coming from WC2, you'd indeed hate WC3 since due to technological limitations of 2003 hardware, that's probably why they made that cap. Forget the 90 food cap, it's more about even the most basic unit taking up 6 food. And peons take up 1 so you can't expand or sacrifice what little of your 20 man army you need. They also introduced UPKEEP (are you fucking kidding me) which PENALIZES YOU FOR HAVING AN ARMY.

That would be like penalizing you for punching in a fighting game.

Anyway even WC3 as shit as it was, the problem is it lead to dota and lol and mobashit games. Forget arguing about 90 food and 20 man armies, how about having one guy where the whole game relies on lag at the key moment where you should have ran away and healed. A lot of faggots "play" these games by reading the 3 paragraph stories on their favorite shit character and regurgitating memes about them.

If you care at all, you can still play WC2 online with any BNE copy you find at war2.ru. The software they use is PvPGN which is a free version of battle.net and can also be used for broodwar and D2. RTSes were destined to be shit and dumbed down due to butt-normies who can't be assed to control 1 guy, let alone 20 guys, and certainly not 200.

I forgot that the Americans/Allies tanks have drones. OP as fuck because traditionally in Westwoods games infantry was a great counter to heavy vehicle formations because their only defense against infantry was driving over them.

c&c1 is very difficult IMO, I like it a lot, but Red alert 1 did what it should have done in the first place. Red alert WAS my childhood, still a lot of fun to this day even with it's dated graphics.
RA2, play through the campaigns. This is arguably the best c&c game to a lot of people.
Tiberian sun is different, but great in it's own way of balancing units vs destroyed environment.
Generals is probably is the most in depth with so many sides and units.
I'm torn between RA2 or generals having given me the most fun.

Not really. I first played it when i was like 9 and it seemed impossible. Back then i only managed to complete 2 missions ( i had the covert operations mode which basically didnt include the campaign, only custom missions).

I started playing it now and i had to watch walktrough videos on youtube to finish certain missions. It is still a very challenging game.
