Got him opening day this season. The way the terrain was we couldn't get very close to him, so I had to shoot him at 328 yards. My handloads must have worked because he dropped like a rock. My friend and I butchered it in his garage and now we have 120lbs of meat.
My friend got his own last weekend, another 4x4, so we're having a guy we know European style them. Mine is actually a little atypical, he has two extra inch spikes on one side.
His tenderloins were pretty damn good.

Beautiful. And good damn shooting. I have nature making last year's whitetail a euro mount. (I've had it wired to a tree). Still not ready, but the damn rodents like to nibble on the antlers for the calcium. Might have to bite the bullet and boil the remains in my wife's Dutch oven. When she's not home of course.
