The eternal question: which caliber has claimed the most lives throughout history?
7.62×39? Maybe 7.62×54, 8mm Mauser, or .303 British? Also worth considering how many people have been killed by 9mm alone. Whatcha think?

Probably 7.62x39. Commies killed more people than anybody. They're like the Mongols of the rifle era. I don't just mean in the revolutions and conquests but in executions too.
I would have to guess 7.62×39 because the AK 47 is by far the most common and popular rifle and has been for so long, and besides it being in every war since it's creation, Africa itself is like a constant feed of fresh 7.62×39 deaths whether there major global wars or not, AK's never stop firing in africa.

I meant directly, but I see what you're getting at.
I think it would have been x54r or 8mm but by now x39 has to be taking the cake.
