- If she intentionally threw the match, she undermined her rightful master's orders (something she continues to do by allowing Marisa to break into the SDM after the Scarlet Mist Incident).
- If she fought to defeat Reimu but couldn't, then she failed to protect her master by eliminating a threat.

Since all options lead to situations where Sakuya failed in her duties, your statement can not be logically supported.
