Very typical. Marisa comes over to Reimu's place and they discuss how the weather's weird (it's summer, but snowing in the forest of magic, and flowers are blooming at the shrine). Aya shows up and remarks that it's odd how flowers are blooming. Apparently the season's are out of whack. With the arrival and departure of Aya, Reimu says "welp, guess it's an incident and we have work to do". Apparently it's an incident that has been going on for a while. The seasons around Gensokyo are all mixed up.

Cirno isn't mentioned in the prologue.

Conversely, Eiki wants Yuuka to die because she's a youkai who's too old and too complacent. Either die or start scaring people like a proper youkai should.
