Hey /jp/, I went to a Touhou doujin event last Sunday and bought some stuff.
http://kyoukai.biz/
It's held where Puniket is usually held. It was pretty big compared to the previous Puniket conventions.
I'll post my stuff later if you guys want anything. It'll be a month more before M3 and RTS happens.
I hope you had fun. Got a picture of your haul splayed out on a table or something?
Got porn?
Didn't get that much porn since it's either most the ones I wanted were sold out or there's just very few porn. Got a banging pocket watch.
And some few CDs and doujins from the event. The rest were from Akiba.
>>16778819
Woah, what's that one with Yumemi and Chiyuri?
>>16778836
Arrange similar to the ones you hear from the original PC98 games. It's an old release but that one came with a fixed CD because the previous had some fuckups with the recording.
>>16778819
That's a lot of CDs with Maribel and Renko.
Are there any comic conventions in Tokyo from Apr 1st - 5th?
Is there a site which aggregates convention information?
This is literally the only time I could go in the last 10 years, so losers can't be choosers, but I would like to do more than museums, explore, and go to the dedicated Touhou stores .
I have attended Fancy Frontier in Taipei, though, where to Japanese artists sold localized books uncensored. I got a nice Renko/Mari cup from there.
>>16778928
The event's centered around them and Sumireko so a lot of doujins are for them.
>>16779097
No idea if there are any site that collects general events for weebs but I only ever look in Twitter nowadays for events.
There's Puniket on April 2nd http://www.puniket.com/sht/
Also, if you're interested in dicks, there's a dick festival in Kawasaki on the same day. I'll be going to both.
>>16779178
Unless it's futaket...
>>16779178
How big is puniket anyway? And does it happen often? We rarely get threads about events that isn't about M3 and Comiket.
>>16779178
How'd you get the invite?
And what was your favorite part? Were there cosplayers?
>>16784406
I mean, it's in the name
>>16778819
What kind of music are those albums?
>>16779097
>dedicated Touhou stores
Going to Tokyo next month, mind telling me more? I'll attend Reitaisai and roam Akiba, but I don't know if there's some special place I should visit for 2hu stuff.

Doujin

From a post 7 months agofrom Reddit:
1. http://store.surpara.com/ (seems open)
2. A building with an Akibaoo and a second floor maid cafe (how specific) has an underground opening marked by 2hu posters
https://imgur.com/gallery/ag1tB
Unfortunately the OP could not read Japanese. I'll contribute to the thread if I find more this weekend.
I figure this topic doesn't deserve its own thread, so I'll just ask here.
Can someone explain to me why things like Touhou and Kantai Collection are so ridiculously popular? I mean, in terms of content produced by fans, they seem to eclipse all other franchises, including all anime and manga, by an enormous margin. Even Evangelion is dwarfed in comparison.
A quick search on Gelbooru shows that there are almost 700k pictures related to Touhou, and 230k for Kantai Collection. Meanwhile, Evangelion, which is arguable one of the most popular and enduring anime out there, only has 26k.

Why is Mokou and Keine sitting with those lunarian scum?
>>16785873
If it's only about the pixiv count, hundreds of cute girls you can draw over and over versus a handful of girls you can draw over and over.
>>16785873
They are products of doujin culture, which gives an atmosphere of liberal employment and reinterpretation unlike works of a more market-oriented and singular nature.
But that also means that 60% is pic related.
>>16785916
And yeah that's from FF29
>>16785871
Thanks anon. I didn't think about visiting SurPara, though I know their website/online shop.
As for the other(s), it's really going to be a treasure hunt. Though the figure prices on the pics you linked are ridiculous!
>>16784406
I'd estimate it's smaller than half a hall of Comiket. Puniket advertises their circle count as up to 500 but I don't think it their 500 count doesn't get filled. And those threads usually just devolves into begging and my music format > your music format.
>>16784461
You just need to buy a catalog to enter Puniket. There's a lot cosplayers considering the number of attendees. And good chunk of the cosplayers are kids wearing 2hu outfits.
>>16785652
Akiba Hobby too. And what the other anon mentioned, it's literally next to a kebab store which is behind a maid cafe and Akibaoo store. You can try the mainstream doujin stores too like Toranoana or Melonbooks since they also have a small section for Touhou.
>>16785881
I don't know but it pleases my dick.

What >>16785916 said and not to mention the amount of girls

Because I love you guys.

Thank you! I will give them a listen when I have some time.
>>16787207
I just took a look at the puniket circle list and it does look like lesser known circles are participating.
>leme.me
You're the same guy from the comiket threads? Thanks anyway for those
>>16787207
Thanks!
>>16787207
Can you upload in the box one?
>>16786470
Here is the store above supara, on the eighth floor.
Largely official works with some popular fan items.

You mean the blue one? It's already up.
Tune in again on M3 and Reitaisai for more!
>>16798990
I mean this one.
>>16799289
Oh sure, I'll up it sometime. Kinda tired now since I just came back from Puniket. Will probably up with the stuff I bought a while ago.
By far the best store I've seen for Touhou pandering is Akiba Hobby. It is 85% Touhou, but it has much more content.
>>16804249
Aw shucks. I couldn't get it yesterday, so I tried to run and get a copy of the catalog at Toranoana, but they looked at the clock and told me it was too late to sell (15 minutes passed 11, admittedly pretty late).
How was it? Was it た~のし~?
>>16804425
Catalogs for events like these are also usually sold at the event itself.
I didn't stay for long since I had something to do in the afternoon. It was pretty fun, I guess. The amount of people actually surprised me though. At least I got everything I wanted.
>>16804411
Akibaoo store #2 also has a similar amount of Touhou content on the B1 floor, which us located inside the store.
>>16809223
Forgot pic
>>16804411
Akiba Hobby has some massive markups. There's a third store other than Akibaoo around for 2hu goods, somewhere on approx the 8F on the outskirts of Akiha.
Pics from Akiba Hobby
>>16809244
Give me a name or a specific building and I'll check it out.
>>16809244
Wait, this one?
>>16798317
>Here is the store above supara, on the eighth floor.
It has little visible content, unfortunately.
>>16809254
That's the one, I think. There was a bit of kit last I went there, including a range of fumos.
>>16798317
>>16809254
Isn't that SurPara itself? There's also the same banner and logo from the website http://toho.surpara.com/ visible outside the building from the street.
