Who is the girl with the cute hat?
>>
>Who is the girl with the cute hat?
You'll have to post it, I don't know what you're talking about.

Giko's favorite phrase is "ITTEYOSHI!!"

  _____∧∧ / ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄
~' ____( ゚Д゚)< 逝ってよし!!
  UU U U \_______

This often gets translated as with "Go and die" or "Kill yourself" or "Fuck off". All of these translations seem to be not getting the jist of the expression, though, since "Itteyoshi" is a play on words:
> If you're a japanese and hear it without seeing the chinese character used in it,
> then you will think it means "you may go" ,or "go away" in a less dominant imperative.
> But if you read it while seeing the chinese character,
> it means "you may kill yourself" or "kill yourself".
>
> You can use this phrase when someone posts a silly remark or
> asserts something with lame evidence.
>
> note: "行く(iku)" means "to go", "逝く(iku)" means "to die".

Originates from a logo of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan:

http://web.archive.org/web/20021018125339/http://www.jimin.jp/jimin/jimin/t_rogo.html

Soon after this logo became known, AA were created for the "Liberal-Democratic Monar Party"

There are various theories as to why the characters have begun shouting SAITAMA without an end:
http://members.at.infoseek.co.jp/maruheso/aadic/sa.html#saitama

But as Saitama, a prefecture in Japan (and also the name of its capital city), is known for funny news coming from it, the enthusiasm expressed by these cute little fellas can easily be understood.

2ch is ahead of the times with their memes. 'kys' is only getting popular nowadays around these parts.
It's a shame people say such dreadful things online.

He is usually after >>1-san. When he first appeared, he usually wanted to murder him, since >>1-san set up another shitty thread again.
As this, he was the embodiment of eight other Monar who all wanted the same thing.
With the time, he grew quite fond of >>1-san and now can be often seen being quite gay for him (>>1-san usually does not enjoy this).

First appearance probably itt: http://choco.2ch.net/mona/kako/1005/10052/1005267134.html

  ( ) \________

  (__)_)

http://members.at.infoseek.co.jp/maruheso/aadic/ma.html#mona-

The most famous character of 2channel!
Main appearance is in reference to another post which seems to be hypocritical.
Monar then says "OMAEMONA" which roughly translates to "you, too" but is better
translated in the version used above.
A large variety of derivation characters have been invented ever since Monar came up and the influence on today's 2channel AA is inscrutable.

(I have given up on making sense of the rest of the character origin legend.
Monar seems to have been invented on 2channels "Kitchen" board (where you invent, test and generally play around with kopipe material), but that's all I am getting from it.)

MORALAR

http://members.at.infoseek.co.jp/maruheso/aadic/ma.html#morara

A character that debuted as the "Conscience of two channels" in April, 2000 to cross morality with Monar.

It was hardly used for a conscientious remark though it was being widely used as a surreal gag, a
slaughter, and a homosexual hentai character as of now.
Moreover, "Stop it" as a usual habit of saying when appearing is hardly being used now.
"Secus" and "Matarri", etc. inspired by the Morarar tone have spread in 2channel and the whole land of the net.

(I have no idea how to translate "Matarri", etc. so I left them as they were)

KUMA ("Bear") is a natural kind of guy. He likes to frollick through town and chase after some pretty girls (some evil folk dubbed him "Pedobear" for that). He doesn't want to work and just enjoy himself. So he's a pretty cool dude. But sometimes he has to defeat himself rather roughly whenever his arch rival, Ronald McDonald, tries to get in on his act again by destroying his beloved environment or other evil schemes. KUMA is fierce against opponents:

NIDA

Nida is a Korean, and as such his prominent features are funny shoes, high cheek bones and a disingenuous personality.
Most of the time he can be seen spreading filthy lies about alleged Japanese war crimes or simply grouping together with other Nidas in order to start up some mischief.
His favorite drink is apology juice (a joke based on an actual photo of some Korean politicians protesting, one of them holding a sign which was supposed to read "I demand an apology" but was misspelled and thus read "Apology Juice")
