I could maybe barely understand that sort of opinion towards FS, even though WaHH feels much more varied and fun to me. But calling it less interesting than any fairy manga is blatantly false.

I vaguely recall him calling WaHH somewhat of a chore compared to other canon manga, but I don't think he stated why.

Clarste said it has way more obscure terminology, and lines that need to get a very precise nuance across. Whereas most of the dialogue in VFiS is very straightforward and consists of words that you learn as a kid.

Here we have the extremely strong baby youkai with no civility and awareness and possibly one of the strongest oldest youkai who is known for being extremely polite, civil and seems to know everything going on.

As another anon and I said in the current Junko thread, it seems ZUN is treating the two Hou Yi (Chang'e's archer husband and Chun Hu/Junko's husband) as the same character, so there's a chance that 2hu Hou Yi left Junko and married Chang'e.
Also, by Eirin's words, it seems Chang'e had influence over Hou Yi, so Junko blames her as well. Besides, now that she purified herself as pure grudge, her fury stands on its own, so she doesn't hate Chang'e "because of X". She just hates her and her whole life revolves around hating her.

Then it's my second point: Chang'e's influence over Hou Yi. She was, directly or not, involved with Hou Yi killing Bofeng, so, now that Junko has killed Hou Yi, the only target left for her "revenge" is Chang'e.

At the same time if Junko is basically a Divine Spirit at this point who embodies vengeance then she isn't really evil so much as it's just in her nature to hate Chang'e it's basically second nature/instinct.
