She is secondaries first 2hu and with that you get to hear the same stuff all the time. Muh basement, muh crazy Flan. Her canon material is very few, we barely know anything and I doubt that will change. So when you see the same stories repeated endlessly in doujinshi and the same annoying depictions of her, you just want it to stop.

I've been listening to her. I have this kind of idea that Koishi seems to be something between a Narrator and the VN authors using a medium to talk to me directly and give me advice. Which seems perhaps a bit cheap I suppose, but I'm not above accepting advice where it might be useful. I think I've been doing the right things with her, anyway. She seems to be receptive/looks up to Marisa trying to teach her to be more normal, the only question is if I can keep her on the straight and narrow and not exploding on people until she calms down and learns normal social etiquette. An explosion could potentially reset progress.

Anyway, do you know how far along this game goes? I'm about 1 month-ish in now on the 3rd demo, wondering how far I can take this before game goes "content wall kek, game over." It's definitely a fun game.

I haven't touched Demo 3 (I didn't know it existed) But you got a decent amount to go. I Kinda went Koa support which is just fucking adoribly flustered.

Koishi at times is advice and one time Koishi is being used as an ALERT and warning for a Bad End path.

Koishi at times also is a character. The Whiteboard is amazing though. It even has a disclaimer.

Yeah, demo 3 released a few months ago or something. There was a period of 5 years where nothing was released, kinda scary. It'd be a shame if it died, for sure, as it's very good and there is a huge lack of English-translated or -speaking Touhou VNs. One would have thought it was dead before that, but apparently not. I guess they're just taking their time so as to make the game good, and it shows. That's still a hell of a long time between developments though, even so.

I still encountered Youmu a bit, though. She came over being all blah blah training, etc. once. I had the options to try and find her again to train with her more a few times, but I opted for other things. How far that extends with her I couldn't say, though. As for Nitori, her awkward advancing attempts can be amusing, but just about wholly ineffective. It's funny to have the game try to throw a potential love interest that tries to win you instead of the other way around, like that. That's not normally how it works.

I also disregarded her because I felt that her science wouldn't be that useful in making progress in the immortality regard, since it appears to traditionally(within Gensokyo)pretty much based entirely on magic. I suppose it's possible, but Patchy talked about how humans in the outside world hadn't achieved it yet, so despite her technological prowess I both assumed and doubted she'd have too much insight in the matter on the magical side of the spectrum of it or perhaps simply any insight at all, and since it's two different kind of approaches to the issue, I felt any insight she could give wouldn't have helped me within choosing the magical route, so I've mostly been opting for Patchy and Koakuma in that regard. Alice throws hints here and there, but seems a bit distant about it with helping directly with it. She seems to like me well enough, at least. Not quite sure why she isn't more forthcoming. Also got a bit of help from Eirin.

Then, of course, there's Reimu and Kourin trying to guilt trip me out of it, but that's another issue entirely, I guess.

We don't know. Probably ZUN doesn't know either. Her sister is constantly bored, so I assume that Flan must be aswell. But I'm sure she wont ever show up again in a canon work, so we will never know.

I wish Flandre could make a significant canon comeback.

The best scenario: she would be a playable character.
Second best scenario: she would be a boss battle.
Third best scenario: she would be a midboss.

Although it would not be a significant comeback, she could at least appear in an ending. Or damn, at least being referred to, like Sakuya could briefly mention something about ‘’the mistress’ sister’’ or something like this.

Usually it's just a small cameo where she has likely no dialogue, as well as maybe not even seeing her face.
It would at least be nice to see her get even one small piece of dialogue in a manga chapter featuring the SDM in some manner but it seems even that is too much to ask from ZUN.
