Does /jp/ like to watch 音MAD? In case you don't know what they are, it's basically using sounds and video of a determined source to fit to a song. The most popular here would be Gachimuchi/Billy Herrington, but any kind of material can be used, from commercials, to buddhist cults to shitty 70's anime
Here's some random examples:

This is just a few, there's literally thousands of videos like this
Sometimes MAD creators join together to create collaborations, which are longer videos covering a variety of songs, normally with more effort put into the editing, the more known of these videos are the Gachimuchi end of year medleys, but there exist many featuring several sources

Anyway, is there any song or source you specially like on 音MAD?

I love Gachimuchis but I've been looking for Yugioh MADs recently, especially ZEXAL.
It's weird to think why japs was kinda obsessed with this guy.
No idea why otomad is such an obscure topic.
Ive been trying to get into making this and there arent many advanced tutorials nor discussions anywhere these days, not even on 2chan.
I personally like gachimuchi otomad, there is a huge collab coming up (international wrestling festival 2016), basically a bunch of mad creators making a gachimuchi mix of popular mad videos this year.
I especially enjoy razq and cremeforce as far as western mad creators go.

What about Mewtendoo?

He is very skilled.
Does animation professionally iirc.
As far as I know Otomad kinda went by the wayside after the huge boom early on back in the late 00s.
Last I remember Higurashi (TOMITAKE FLASH), Deathnote, UN Owen, Yugioh, RanRanRu, etc... were probably the peak. The only thing I really see when I occasionally check rankings is gachimuchi 例のアレ stuff.

It's not?
It's pretty much everywhere. Moreso in Japan.

I guess he meant on /jp/. You rarely see threads about it here, just Gachi/Inmu stuff

I like it but it just doesn't seem as popular as it once was. I'm still looking forward to this year's International Wrestling FestivalMainly because I'm in it
