Are "waifus" a /v/ and /a/ thing, or do./jp/sies have them too?
>>16237023
Attention!
Having waifus is an /a/ related habit. It doesn't belong on /jp/. So if you have a waifu and intend to talk about it, kindly leave.
/jp/ is for translators, artists and scholars of Japanese culture only. It is a place to create original content and engage in meaningful discussions. Not a place for man-children to salivate over imaginary cartoon girlfriends.
Now that this is settled, please continue.
freakin... lurk moar!!!
>>16237028
What about salivating over actresses, idols and video game characters
>>16237388
That sounds like part of ''otaku culture'' alright, seriously.
When I was young and free I dreamed that one day I would find a character to fall in love with.
Now I sit in /jp/ amidst the ruins of my dreams.
At one point, I was a waifufag, but then I realized it is just escapism of the highest order. I should focus on what I do have rather than wish for something I don't have.
I have a character that I care very deeply for but I don't delude myself into thinking I have an actual relationship with them.
In the context of /a/ and /v/ it's just a meme to blogpost about anyway, which is why I don't like mentioning them by name, since I don't want to associate myself with that crowd.
>>16238299
So? I'll never be happy so why not delude myself?
>>16238444
I agree with this anon but sometimes I like to post her here and there because she's cute
>>16238878
Well I don't think there's anything wrong with posting about them/pictures of them if it's on topic, just starting or participating in threads that are about "showing off" or derailing something.

/jp/ - The Ruins of My Dreams
Why do you care though?
If you like the character then talk about the character. There's no reason to bring yourself into it.
>>16237028
How nostalgic.
>>16240635
This. It's sad to see the term waifu being abused by those idiots like that.
>>16237023
You can find people who are in love with fictional characters on many boards, it's personal thing, not just board culture.
But it's /a/ thing to gather people to discuss their relationship with their beloved 2D girl in form of waifu threads.
>>16240635
There is difference between having favorite character and being in love with said character.

The ruins of everyone's dreams.

When I was young, I fell in love with Sayaka. Then she died.
I should have died with her.
>>16237023
/jp/sies are more likely to want a 2hu to be their mom than their wife
>>16256242
What if I want to marry my mom? Did you ever think of that?
A waifu isn't a thing, its an ideology, like a religion. It's like how Christians talk about their "relationship with god".
They both essentially fill the same spiritual holes, being that there is no actual reciprocated relationship.
It's a coping mechanism
>>16258926
more like a fapping mechanism wwwww
>>16261907
Sayaka looks pretty cool there.
>>16237023
Oh man, that image is pretty hot. I could fap just to the text
>>16270692
Showoff.
>>16270775
>showoff
Eh? Don't we all know Japanese in /jp/?
>>16270783
No, not even close.

This is the setting for his Winter Comiket book
In that case, the image is about how she tested a drug on herself and it had a side effect of making her lust uncontrollable, so the MC has to frequently "administer the cure" which is a good dicking and semen which he provides. There's three notes about her behaviour:
1 - She gives in to pushy demands easily, but she always says "no putting it in raw, this is all just a medical process, nothing more!" at first
2 - When she's tired from work, she unbuttons the bosom part of her dress and says "cure me", i.e, MC gives her a titjob while she's wearing all the clothes and stuff.
3 - She's immortal so after several hours her hymen regenerates
>>16270832
>MC gives her a titjob
>>16271001
I worded it like that cause he's doing it for her, you know what I mean.
>>16270832
Man, I want to fuck Dr. Eirin, not slutty Eirin. Hell yeah for the regenerating hymen, though.
