How's /jp/ liking the Nicovideo HTML5 player? Looks pretty

Nicovideo hasn't loaded anything for me for days.

At some point I'm going to update my browser, and if that doesn't work, cry.

I hope they release it for free users soon. Flash player is a mistake and i don't quite like how the battery goes down while watching videos on NND. Also, it keeps buffering non-stop in linux distros (had to use zenza watch to watch videos there).
Now, Himado is the only video site left I visit, needing to embrace the html5 meme (it does have a html5 player but seems to be only for youtube videos)

Pixiv tried to turn into another shitty "modern" unbrowsable site (and thankfully it backtracked), but Nico ditching Flash for HTML5 is good news.

I think it's a pity because a lot of Japanese content was/is made in Flash, and I think HTML5 has many unnecessary and harmful features, but nowadays Flash is such a serious security hole that ditching it in cases such as this one where there is a similarly-featured, widely supported standard is completely worth it.

I don't know about /g/ memes but whenever I open a video with flash Firefox and Chrome stop for a few seconds before it resumes, if I open a few videos sometimes they even crash, I haven't had this happen with HTML5 players.
