Huh. Is it bad to get into touhou now, today? I tried really hard back in like 2005 (I played a lot of PCB and Imperishable Night) but bounced off it pretty hard. There simply wasn't enough english language material back then, either. Also, I was dumb back then.

That's not a great thing. It seems to be following a bell curve in popularity.

It's all good though, ZUN is just busy with real world things. He's probably more money conscious since he is responsible for the lives of three people now, which is why he's trying to branch out with ULiL being released on the PS4 and stuff. His Comiket appearances will definitely drop.

I think we'll see another Touhou stg in 2017 though. The mainline games are what draw crowds, and money.

But that's totally wrong. Japan maternity leave is 14 weeks at 66% pay through social insurance: 6 weeks before birth, 8 weeks after. Following this period, child care leave then lasts until the child reaches one year old, at 50% pay.
