Oricon as a system is becomingg irrelevant, but because the Japanese seem to hate change it will still be around forever and THAT'S the annoying part.

Aki-p's lyrics are also somewhat basic. Tsunku's tend to be pretty layered... EVEN if that sometimes swings into convoluted territory

I hate these Oricon rules change.

Meh, they're still pretty popular. They'll never be *48/Johnny's level because UF doesn't have the money or the connections for that. But in the grand scheme of things, they're still some of the most popular idol groups out there.

The thing that's hurting them more than anything is Tsunku not being available to produce everything anymore. Which isn't his fault, and as I've said many times before I'd rather have him take care of his health. But they have to find so many more people now who have the time to produce individual aspects of things -- lyricists, composers, arrangers, MV directors (especially since every song gets an MV nowadays basically), people who sit in on the recording sessions, costume designers, perhaps more choreographers (Tsunku didn't do the choreography, I know), marketers and people who make deals with TV shows, etc etc etc. The majority of everything clearly used to be done by Tsunku, but since he's semi-retired, they've had to divide the work up amongst others. I know some things weren't done by Tsunku, but given how much H!P has changed since he graduated as producer, I think it's safe to assume he at the very least oversaw/had a say in everything that went on.

1. Change whoever hold the art and music director position of H!P to someone who has creativity that balanced with his/her knowledge about what the market really wants. I mean just watch the MV and listen to current H!P songs. It looks like they tried too hard to make them "unique" and "different". Stop the over pretentious-ness. Angerme and J=J recent releases won't attract new fans.

2. Create media contents that actually interesting. Hello Sta and GNO are hit and miss. Most of the time they're boring as fuck. They sub the MV why don't just sub the whole show? Hello Station is fine the way it is. They just need to stop shoving MV previews all out at once. Like this last episode, showing a tiny bit of both C-ute songs instead of saving one for next week or doing the one sooner. It doesn't help that most groups release single at the same time so we end up with nearly 2 months without any MV previews. I would like to see more practice videos and recording sessions, maybe a solo corner like what they shown with Hirose this week.

GYNO can be pretty boring for a non-nip speaker but it's aim is a bit more centered around the locals. The cooking segment's pretty fun though, even though they dally show you any of the recipes well enough to be able to replicate the dishes.
