I am ashamed to say that as of today, I have only just now found the joys of watching a man spend fifteen months of his life surviving solely off of sweepstakes prizes.
In a small way, this program has changed how we look at the world, and how we look at ourselves for the fact that we find enjoyment in watching a man suffer alone for over a year of their life eating dog food writing thousands of letters and answering the door nude.

Can't make out much from just the occasional on screen caption. Should have posted it with sound in /wsg/ or something. I'm guessing the old guy called nasubi there to give those girls tips?

I couldn't go 10 hours.

Thanks. Now I finally realize that over 10 years ago, it was Nasubi-san all along in /b/'s 6mil-1 GET.
I've been here for too long...
I am obviously ignorant here, but what makes such things unfeasible to host and broadcast in the West?
I never see such things on TV, but the interest is obviously there. We do have reality TV, of course, but its usually toned down in a way that, at least explicitly, portrays a sense of inherent sanctity in people which this show kind of tosses out the window.
I would totally welcome such shows.
Has this been subbed?

Whoa... Small world, huh?

Damn that announcer must have been working in TV for quite a while because I recognize that voice.

Denpa Shonen was good

No
I wish there was a streaming service to watch wackier Japanese stuff like this. Sites like terebi.tzn only let you watch boring news shit like NHK and Fuji TV (at least last time I checked).
