Hey peeps.

I've been in a GUMI mood and I was wondering if you guys had album/artist recommendations for me.

Recently I've been listening to utml, whom I would recommend his album Akashic Records (and nnd songs); sadly he's been inactive for a few years now, I really hope he decides to do something new soon. Also some Last Note, although I admittedly never was a huge fan of these sorts of GUMI artists in the past (it kinds of sounded the same to me) but I've been making an effort to push my horizons more. I wouldn't mind song recommendations per se (especially if they're obscure/not well known or something for example) but I'd rather have GUMI artists/albums specifically, as I can probably find popular GUMI songs by myself. I'd appreciate it, thanks for reading!

PDX POTENTIAL DLC SPECULATION TIME.

These are the songs on the Magical Mirai 2016 setlist that have not been featured in any Project Diva game (Including Mirai and Arcade):
39 Music
Ghost Rule
Hibikase
Dreamin' Chuchu
Doctor = Funk Beat
Baby Maniacs
Ray

We could be very well looking at some of the DLC selection for X, considering the precedent set by songs in MM 2015 that were in similar places at the time and ended up being featured in the base game. Anyone looking forward to any of this list in particular?

Otherwise, what other songs might you guys be hoping for, for potential DLC?

A lot of sites are posting articles claiming the VR FL 1st Stage will have 7 songs, contrary to early reports that claimed it would only have 3. However I don't see anything on the Sega website, Youtube, or Twitter that lists which are included. Weird.

Also, Sega Tweeted that the Future Tone pre-order bonus dynamic themes can be purchased from the playstation store, if anyone was interested, I remember someone asking about them last thread. I think they're sold separately, so I'd recommend the F one if you only want one. They're basically the same but F is blue and T is yellow.

Sure, except for when you spread your time and resources too thin developing several mediocre banks instead of one really good one, then release them into an already oversaturated market, which only serves to make the already established ones even more popular.
Then it's a little bad.

How many vocaloids does each company even produce anyway? Even Crypton only has 6.
>>
>>15927160
>Even Crypton only has 6.
>only
CFM is bigger than every other vocaloid company and look at how poorly they can handle "only" 6. Two are almost completely obsolete, one of which just barely manages to support itself, I'd imagine the other is red, another one got an update so bad it almost killed her, even though she barely made it off the ground in the first place, and they released a bank once that was so bad, they had to apologize for it, and remake it for free. Their entire company is kept afloat by one well made and well marketed voice, the others might make money, but combined probably don't even make as much without being piggybacked onto the popular one.
Conversely, look at 1st Place, they handle things much better.
Or look at Internet Co. They thought diversity would be a good idea for Vocaloid 3. Now look at what they've released for Vocaloid 4. How well do you think diversity worked for them?

Elisha (did she) diederich asking the tough questions.
>>
>>15927580
Well, this discussion only matters if working on other vocaloids was the reason for Crypton's mistakes in the first place, which we don't know (realistically, it probably contributed a bit, though). Luka V4 and Kagamines' first VB were legit fuckups, but on the other hand original Luka and all the other Kagamine banks after Act 2 are well made.

Also, how much can they even improve Miku anyway? She sounds great, has multiple versatile voice banks... The only thing lacking is her English. There must be a middle ground between no variety and too much variety, IMO. I may be in the minority but personally I wouldn't be as into Vocaloid as I am now if there was just Miku, even though I enjoy Miku just fine.

My local arcade has some legit Jap games - Jubeat the best thing I've ever played, Pop'n Music, etc. - and in a number of these games there are Gumi songs. But there's never a single Miku (or any of the other big 5) song.

What makes it so hard to license Miku songs for these machines? Or, if it's not licensing, what is the reason?
>>
>>15926188

>>15928534
Miku is a highly protected property, not to mention no one wants a competitor to SEGA
>>
>>15928534
>>15928560
I'm led to believe it's a issue specifically with the songs and their labels rather than CFM, who hasn't really shown any restraint whatsoever in letting Miku's voice and image be used. The Miku Expo Twitter was even retweeting an independent artist who was selling makeshift Dallas posters after that fiasco. They seem happy to get any publicity they can.
I'll admit my guess is just as good as anyone else's, though, but usually when I see content removal notices on YouTube videos, it was taken down by Exit Tunes or Karent but I can't recall seeing any by Sega.

Well what I'm saying is that it's in no one's interest (CFM, KarenT, Exit Tunes, etc.) to create any sort of competition for SEGA, that's why I'm assuming they're withholding any popular songs from making it into a game.

FACT
>>
>>15968679
Compression shorts are too visible. The most alluring thing about panties is that you can't see them. You want to not see them.
>>
>>15968809
>You want to not see them.
If you didn't want to see them, there's no allure. It's more like you want to see them, but actually seeing them breaks the effect.
Panties are at their most sublime when they're just, ever so slightly out of reach.
>>
>>15968830
True art requires your imagination for the unknown, it demands you seek out the mysterious.
The best art is that which exist in your own universe within yourself.
The contents of a maiden's skirt is no different.
When you can see, all you're left with are vulgar panties, but if you can't see, then it's art.
>>
>>15968830
It's not that you DON'T want to see them, but you want to not be able to see them. It's that they can't be seen, or that they're supposed to not be seen, that makes them special.
>>
>>15965635
Ah, that bonus. I remember that. It's a... what was it... "mousepad memopad"? Basically it looks like the usual mousepad bonus you get from ET albums, but it's actually just... pieces of paper, yeah.

>All of this people hating crusher's tryhard attemps to ~PROFESHUNAL MUZIK~

Thanks anons. My faith on humanity is partly restored.

God I wish western fandom bothered on learning some actual music theory before jumping into composing. All of these children pretending they are super musicians when they clearly are just messing with random shit at fl studio feels like watching a retarded weeb pretending he can browse the japanese net with the expressions he learned from animes.
>>
>>15969396

I mean, that's a better guess than anything I could come up with. Very bizarre bonus.

I'd consider using it, but it's way too small for my current setup. Oh well. Cheers for clarifying, anon.

I think the real problem is that by far the most recommended works are the 3 IA/# albums, and that tends to be it. Which isn't saying those are bad albums - they're full of a ton of great songs.

But very rarely do people ever recommend anything else - certainly nothing recently made, nor any artists that regularly make IA works. And this leads to posters questioning her popularity, and thus the same questions that show up here all the time.

Crypton Future Media holds the copyrights to the 6 characters shown on that page. That means this part applies to all fan work of those 6 characters.

It's because most of the Vocaloid doujins from like 2007-2010 were made by shitty bandwagon doujinkas at the time.
Also there are a vast amount being made, but very few of the good ones are being actually scanlated because everyone would rather scanlate yet another ntr ugly man on boat rape than a good Vocaloid OTP for once.

Also, master x Miku is so overrated and predictable.

Also I think Racing Miku is real "going too far" in my opinion. She is way too lewd and sometimes looks too different than original. The underwear just looks cute and innocent.
>>
>>15991338
>What went wrong with NGE?
Seriously? NGE razors, NGE soda, NGE Doritos, NGE cologne. They went full goofy with the cross marketing.
>Also I think Racing Miku is real "going too far" in my opinion.
How is that going too far? GSR is awesome and considering how many figures GSC makes, it's cross marketing that actually makes sense. There's good synergy there. Same with Sony. Toyota, shampoo, lingerie, they're things that have no correlation with vocaloid, the cross marketing comes off as selloutish.
>>
>>15991338
NGE might as well be star wars
>>
>>15991427
Well, I got into anime after these things and never did any research. I saw there were some cross marketing, but I've not realized it was this big.

I understand why it bothers you. I just personally don't see cross marketing as something really bad as long as it's done with taste and don't make Miku looks bad/degenerative. It's arguable if pictures of her in underwear make her look bad, but I think it's not more sexual than necessary and her cute appeal shows way more than sexual.
On the other hand GSR is way different. Look at this abomination, it's way too lewd than necessary, her twintails are gone, her skin tone is changed and she even has things written over her body. It's like they whore her body for marketing and don't even try to hide it. This shit is a disgrace.
>>
>>15991635
You can fuck right off. Sepang is one of the best Racing outfits. A bikini isn't inherently lewd, her twintails aren't gone, they're just buns, and she's got a sun tan with tan tattoos because race queens have to represent their team, but a bikini leaves no material to brand. That design is brilliant, you just have shit taste.
>>
Crypton really is pushing this too hard. This is bad for the hardcore fanbase, and even her casual image is becoming tainted by lingerie and most racing versions of a character that's supposed to be cute and not sexy! Underwear isn't always inherently sexual, but it still isn't a good idea to theme intimate clothing after a character or series like this. Bad shampoo commercials aren't good either. It makes the character look low quality and disposable. What's strange is how Crypton almost completely ignores the Append design, and even the fans hardly draw it, and then even iXima refused to draw the lingerie picture of Miku, and Crypton still went ahead with it! It's like Crypton has a hard time keeping her in character. I don't know about any of you, but I did send a short and polite email of disapproval to Crypton over the lingerie stunt. Racing Miku is standing with one foot on the line and one foot crossed. Underwear is crossing the line with both feet. The character is cute, and underwear is too often associated with sexual things.

>Sure, I prefer to see Miku looking similar to original as innocent pale girl with beautiful twintails and proper clothing than looking like cheap latina whore.
Read:
>I'm literally too autistic to be able to deal with anything being even slightly different than what I'm used to, and prefer too see the same design rehashed for eternity instead of seeing artists express their creativity trying to something different or interesting
>>
>>15991803
There's creativity, and then there's taking a character and stripping them of most of who they are. Crypton and some of the the companies they partner with are taking the character and abusing her popularity to sell almost anything they can. The whole reason why people are upset about this is because they're doing things that portray the character in a way that destroys what little characterization she has. Hatsune Miku is a voice, and a visual design. She has a very basic and limited personalization and set of core values based off of the feel of her voice and original design. It's very easy to destabilize the character when there's so little to her. It's even worse when Crypton says to not sexualize their characters, but then they go in that direction themselves after so many years with the fans mostly agreeing to not sexualize the character. It's a stab in the back to the hardcore Vocaloid fans who love the base traits of what the character has been widely and officially accepted to be for nearly a decade.

You can hold your opinion, I'm just explaining to you why many people don't like it.
>>
>>15991896
>The whole reason why people are upset about this
Pretty sure no one is really upset about any of this, though.
And in what examples have CFM sexualized any of the characters? Or are you (incorrectly) assuming that swimsuits and lingerie are somehow inherently sexual?
>>
>>15991917
>assuming that swimsuits and lingerie are somehow inherently sexual
Read >>15991748 to know my opinion of that. Specifically the last sentence. It isn't inherent, but it is not a good direction as it's more related to a sexual context than car or pizza advertisements.
>>
>>15991803
You act like there is only box arts and racing Miku.

I appreciate original arts, true.
But I really love casual, innocent, young and pure Miku the most.
I like Yuki Miku and Magical Mirai Miku a lot, she looks very pure and cute.
Halloween Miku usually looks very interesting and creative.
Sakura Miku is a little too pink for my taste, but she is usually nice too.
I enjoyed The End Opera Miku as well, she is quite different, but feels very interesting.
Loli Miku and cat girl Miku can be very cute and nice too.

It doesn't matter if it comes from artist's creativity, as long as they will make her into abomination and shamelessly whore her body for advertisement, it is not going to be ok.
>>
>>15991937
>>15991944
If you were saying that the Super Groupies cross marketing is bad because it's an unnecessary and pointless cash grabbing scheme, like the Miku jewelry, and doesn't really promote Vocaloid to a broader audience and is just a regular, plain product with her name branded on it, then we would agree.
But by trying to project your own idea of what Miku is supposed to represent and how you feel her likeness is supposed to be handled makes you come off as just a turbo-autist, I don't know how else to describe it.
>these things are ok because i like them but these other things are not ok because i don't like them!
At least I have a reasonable and logical explanation for why I think it's bad cross promotion whereas your only reason is "i don't like the way it makes me feel"
>>
>>15991955
>how you feel her likeness is supposed to be handled
How just I feel? Are you being persuaded by 4chan's habit of sexualizing and decharacterizing any and everything for any or no reason? The official terms of character use >>15940821 mention that the characters are not to be used in an overly violent or in a sexual context. That's as sure of a canon trait as one can as for, and Racing Miku, and especially underwear advertisements, are obvious steps in a sexual direction. To hardcore Voacloid fans, it's a bit alarming that Crypton would do this.
>>
>>15992011
>obvious steps in a sexual direction
That's totally wrong, though. Swimsuits and lingerie aren't sexual. Clothing itself is almost never sexual in nature. Even underwear and lingerie aren't sexual in nature, they're just underwear. It's how they're presented or how the wearer presents themselves in it that are sexual.
>>
>>15992059
>Swimsuits and lingerie aren't sexual
Not inherently. The part you're forgetting is how Racing Miku, and especially lingerie, are things that are widely accepted as more sexual than most other things. These are steps that would concern people who are hypersensitive to changes within the fanbase, namely the hardcore fans. The moves towards those kinds of things are legitimately concerning to us.

>It's how they're presented or how the wearer presents themselves in it that are sexual.
I know that, it's not like they're doing upskirt (sexual fetish) advertisements. The official ads aren't NSFW, but it does raise some concern when Crypton gravitates towards themes that are more sexual than most.
>>
>>15992059
Not him, I agree that lingerie can be presented without sexual themes.
However, showing Miku tanned, with writings all over her body, incredibly high heals, without twintails and wearing barely any clothes is sexualizing and decharacterizing.
>>
>>15992123
>tanned
>writings all over her body
>high heals
>without twintails
>wearing (a bikini)
None of these are sexual in anyway. Combining them doesn't make them sexual either.
>decharacterizing.
Is this a new buzzword?
>>
>>15992111
I fail to see how a race queen is sexual.
>>
>>15992138
Yeah, when you compare >>15991782 to >>15991635 it's really hard to tell which one is more sexual.
>>
>>15992146
"More" has nothing to do with it, you're just projecting.
>>
>>15992138
The racing costumes are more sexually aggressive/suggestive than others, and somewhat more suggestive poses make them more sexual from an objective point of view. I'm more concerned about the underwear.

Again, I can't stress the fact that the people who are most concerned are the diehard fans who absolutely love the characters. Hypersensitive/highly dedicated fans are in every fanbase, and every fanbase has things they are very sensitive about. Fans of an inherently cute franchise are going to be concerned about official moves in a sexual direction.
>>
>>15992146
>>15992168
Your problem is you think a female body is inherently sexual. It didn't do me any good the first dozen times I said but I'll repeat myself anyway: swimsuits aren't sexual.
>>
>>15992168
>the diehard fans
is she your waifu or something?
>>
>>15992154
"More" has everything to do with "gravitates towards themes that are more sexual than most" and literal "as more sexual than most".
>>
>>15992197
It's his way of trying to undermine the opposing argument by implying those with viewpoints that disagree with his aren't true Scotsm- I mean, aren't true fans, because real fans all think one way.
>>
>>15992203
Zero is not more than zero, though.
>>
>>15992209
That's your subjective view.
I'm sure majority of people will find >>15991635 more sexual than >>1599178.
>>
>>15992222
Even if everyone agreed with you, it wouldn't make you correct. If it's subjective, then it only matters to the individual. In this case however, it's not subjective, it's objective, and you're objectively wrong. Because neither is sexual, neither one could be more or less sexual than the other, because they're both not sexual.
>>
>>15992183
>swimsuits aren't sexual
Let's be real here. They intentionally show more skin, so the lack of coverage can make it easier for people to be sexualized. Poses with less and more suggestive clothing are more sexual than clothing without sexual design. The level of coverage, the design, and the pose a person strikes are all factors in how sexual and lewd a situation is. This image >>15992059 is more sexual than her regular outfit by design, but that doesn't make it lewd because she's just standing there. She isn't bending over and presenting herself to the viewer, it isn't a fetish picture. It's her standing there in clothing that is supposed to accentuate sexual features, but it isn't lewd.

>>15992208
When the majority thinks a certain way, you can't exactly fault me. Remember, I'm talking about the fanbase as a whole, and not just 4chan who abuses anything for the hell of it.
>>
>>15992260
Swimsuits are for swimming, they are minimal because it's practical.

You keep going on about "everyone is mad about it". Can you show me 5 places or articles where they rage about these things?
>>
>>15992249
All these arts and cross marketing is being perceived by subjectively by everyone. The problem is not that some arts can be objectively considered sexual or not by some arbitrary rules. The problem is that they use themes that are perceived as more and more sexual by viewers. People who are not familiar with Miku are getting exposed to her in settings they find way more sexual than rest of the content and it damages reputation of the character. It also creates fans who are interested in Miku primarily because of sexual themes and they poison fandom. It is also insulting to actual fans because the character might become more recognizable because of these themes. I'm pretty sure people would prefer to be labeled by nonfans as "fan of cute virtual singer" than "fan of that lewd, half-nude anime girl"

>>15992271
You've completely ignored his whole argument and only payed attention to swimsuit.
>>
>>15992260
>They intentionally show more skin
That's still not sexual. A nude body is not inherently sexual, I don't get why I have to repeat this so much. For something to be sexual, it has to be related to sex. That's what the word means. Being sexual depends on the context and the intention of the wearer. A 5 year old in a bikini at the beach is not sexual. Clothes do not determine what is sexual. The context and intent of Sepang is nonsexual. She's a race queen at a racing event, wearing a race queen outfit, waving a racing flag. There's no sexual context or intention. The outfit isn't sexual, the pose isn't sexual, the situation isn't sexual, nothing about it is sexual at all.
>>
>>15992299
Did it ever occur to you there might be more people in here?
>>
>>15992299
>You've completely ignored his whole argument
>implying he's making an argument
>>
>>15992271
There's a difference between a utility swimsuit and a bikini. Bikinis are terrible as swimwear, as they are intentionally more revealing, but are not always shown in a sexual context. No one is "mad", But many fans are displeased and concerned by an official underwear ad of a character that is officially supposed to be cute and not shown in a sexual context. Lingerie is very close to a sexual context due to the fact that it is intimate clothing, unlike a bikini which is meant to be seen. Arbitrary? Yes. Is that just how the world works? Absolutely. Crypton is walking on the line, and some people are going to be concerned.
>>
>>15992290
So people who appreciate her expanding into other areas should be ignored because of the "real fans" and the newfags? You want to silence the other half of the fanbase because you're afraid the newcomers won't follow your subjective views?
>>
>>15992325
>Bikinis are terrible as swimwear
According to you? Do you have enough experience wearing one-piece swimsuits and bikinis to the beach that you feel you're qualified to make this statement?
>But many fans are displeased
According to you again? How many is "many"? Please, cite these "many fans".
>Lingerie is very close to a sexual context due to the fact that it is intimate clothing
Lingerie is "women's night clothing". How is that sexual? Are pajamas sexual?
>>
>>15992330
>>15992347
>other half of the fanbase
When did you last go to pixiv and look at the percentage of R-18 pictures of Hatsune Miku? It's around 3%.
>>
>>15992325
So where are these people? Or are you just going to ignore it and point at ghosts of your imagination as reference?
>>
>>15992350
How is that relevant to anything being discussed?
>>
>>15992350
Just because "not every artist is doing it" doesn't mean "everyone is against it".
>>
>>15992369
It means most of the fanbase that's interested enough to contribute by creating content cares about the image and integrity of the character. And I never did say "everyone" did I?
>>
>>15992350
>>15992369
>>15992378
There's also a drastic difference between "fans who are okay with or don't mind harmless lingerie cross marketing" and "fans who actively promote explicit hard core pornography"
>>
>>15992378
Funny how you consider yourself "hardcore fans" while trying to silence or kick out fans with a different preference.
>>
>>15992315
Yes. >>15992271 directly responded to >15992260 and ignored everything he said about pose and design.

>>15992330
Yes, I don't want people who don't care about music and are only interested sexual themes(especially showing her visually completely different than original) to ruin her reputation. I also don't want public to recognize her by sexual themes rather than as virtual singer. People who didn't heard much of a Miku and went to see racing are going to notice Miku and assume she is some lewd anime girl. Similarly these who browse underwear are going to remember her as some half-nude girl from commercial.

>>15992347
I'm pretty sure most people will find lingerie more sexual than pajamas.
>>
>>15992412
Sounds like a father who's afraid of his daughter growing up. Fans who "know her" shouldn't be denied new things because of "fans who don't".
>>
>>15992412
People aren't going to make that assumption, because normal people understand that a race queen in a race queen outfit at a race or a model wearing lingerie in a lingerie ad aren't sexual. It's a handful of autists who don't seem to be able to make the distinction.
>>

If your idea of "growing up" is pushing an ageless, cute fictional character into sexual contexts, then you just gave away how much you don't actually care about the integrity of the character or series. You're looking for new for the sake of new, and not improvement with respect for the character.

Are they really completely honest when they undermine the fundamentals of the series for their own profit and fame? Morality does play a part here, as this is about official and fanwork.

>The diva games themselves feature lewd songs and videos
They're fairly light sexual themes compared to many other things you see today. The Project Diva games even try to block pantyshots, so using the games as an example doesn't really work in your favor. They clearly want to keep most sexual things out. The underwear commercial is official from Crypton, and iXima didn't even draw that ad, showing that even the main artist Crypton turns to didn't feel right about it. It's concerning that they did that, and I'm constantly being told I'm being unfair for pointing out why some people are disappointed by it? Who is trying to bully who, exactly?

Despite claiming to be a hardcore fan, you seem to not understand a lot about vocaloid and the community. The Project Diva games feature swimsuits, including several bikinis, the very first game had a blatant upskirt in it, and some of the songs include suggestive themes such as sex or sexual activities, consensual or not, which may result in impregnation and abortions.
And this is CFM's biggest project.

You keep saying that people are concerned but continue to not provide any other proof of these people and their concern.

>>15992577
I've already told you about swimsuits. Just dancing in a swimsuit isn't sexual context. They are getting better with upskirt blocking too. As for the songs, yes some of them are sexual, but the main thing here is that the characters are singing songs, and the characters themselves aren't very sexual at all. They're singers singing songs. It's like saying the singer his or herself is a slut for singing a song about sex.

>The diva games themselves feature lewd songs and videos. What does that say about the "official" or "canon" integrity if even Crypton approves of these themes?
Because it shows her as a singer. She is only singing about these things, it doesn't mean she take part in them or that they are about her at all. It's not different from writing a book or other fiction.
The swimsuits aren't that bad either. It's not the first thing someone see when they play PJD. People have to play this game for some time and understand who is Miku, that she is a virtual singer and then they unlock the swimsuit just as one of her costumes. However it's way different when people are exposed for the first time to Miku wearing barely any clothes, posing suggestively and looking lewd in general.

Just going to throw in my thoughts. I think it's part of the creative freedom around miku that allows for her to sometimes be depicted as cute and innocent while other times as highly sexualized. However, a content creator should consider the context whenever depicting miku. For example, for certain love/drama songs like romeo and juliet or sweet devil, it comes naturally that miku wears a more provocative outfit. It serves the purpose. In the same sense, racing miku is supposed to be somewhat sexualized considering the role of race queens. Sepang miku does that, but even GSR decided to tone it down a bit because it is at the limit of what's appropriate even for a race queen. You can see the following years are much more tame and I respect that. The wrong way to sexualize miku is basically to sexualize her for the sake of sexualizing her, for lack of a better way to phrase it. This is what you are doing when you try to peek up her skirt in project diva and creating doujins just for masturbation. There is no wrong way to depict miku, I'm sure there's even a right way to depict her nude, but it's on your pride as a content creator to do so with purpose.
>>
>>15992669
>Literally who said that?

>it's way too lewd than necessary
>looking like cheap latina whore.
> it's more related to a sexual context
>wearing barely any clothes is sexualizing
>Racing Miku, and especially underwear advertisements, are obvious steps in a sexual direction.
>The racing costumes are more sexually aggressive/suggestive than others
>They intentionally show more skin, so the lack of coverage can make it easier for people to be sexualized.

>Most people clearly like the character as she is. Change towards a sexual tone removes the original appeal of the character.
In what way? It doesn't interfere with the other portrayals. A person liking a different thing doesn't diminish your ability to enjoy a thing. The fact that lewd art or lewd songs exists doesn't take away from the other ones.

>>15992753
Again, you're wrong, because nothing about Sepang or Super Groupies is sexual. You already claimed bikinis aren't inherently sexual, not her "clothes and design" according to you yourself, aren't sexual. And the pose isn't sexual either, I don't even know what you're on about. It's cute, and there's nothing sexual about flags. They're a race queen staple, like umbrellas.
>>
>>15992747
>Most people clearly like the character as she is.
Most people like her because of the creative freedom. A mere fan might not understand this. Did you ever produce anything Vocaloid related?

Because you're narrow-minded. The concert is only one aspect, if you actually looked at the video.
Most people haven't been to Magical Mirai either, so I don't see your point.

>>
>>15992771
>In what way?
Most of the content is not lewd, and most people seem to like it that way.

>>15992773
>Some examples of prohibited uses include use in an overly violent context or in a sexual context
To move towards sexual context is to undermine the character and series, and to disrupt most of the fanbase that enjoys it for what it is. There's more at stake here than creativity because the Crypton Vocaloids are seen as more than just instruments. You have to look past the raw industrial and "ARTISTIC" viewpoints, and understand that these are also characters that people enjoy for simple reasons. And talking that base appeal away, taking a simple thing to enjoy, away from them, and turning it into something else, is a selfish thing to do. The characters are cute. People like that cuteness and how it's mostly family friendly. And you want to take that away.
>>
>>15992839
People enjoy them for other reasons too, and you're no different if you try to take away their things.

Do you realize how you sound when you say "wah, they aren't enjoying it the "right way", now I can't enjoy it my way!"
>>
Anyway, whatever. Just understand that most people like Crypton Vocaloids because they are cute. That's what the characters are supposed to be, and people like them for that reason. It's like asking Nintendo to introduce more sex to Mario or Zelda. Some people would like that, but it just doesn't work like that for most people.
>>
Some people seem to think Vocaloid became popular because they are cute and porn of them is forbidden, while in fact, they became popular because of the creative freedom. Songs with outrageous lyrics which normal people might have a hard time singing became hits.

Considering this, aren't the ones crying about sexualization the real invaders of a creative community?
>>
>>15992839
You know, CFM and Piapro agree with you. Most of the fan base and creators do as well. Miku shouldn't be sexualized. That's why you don't see officially licensed sexual materials.
At the same time, CFM, who says vocaloid likeness shouldn't be used in sexual context, and the same people who greenlit the racing queen outfits, the Super Groupies ad, and bikinis and upskirts in PJD.
>>
>>15992771

I claimed that bikinis aren't inherently sexual. However when her skin is barely covered, she has writing on her body, is tanned and pose like that, people will find this picture very sexual. No one has really said anything about flags too, it's probably the most neutral element of that picture.

>>15992894

I'm pretty sure there is no one who thinks porn of vocaloid is forbidden. Especially because of how much porn of them exists.

You can say that as much as you want, but there's an obvious sexual sense to the Sepang Miku.

This Coke ad is clearly using a sexual appeal, but if you look at it "technically" like you're doing with Miku, there's nothing wrong with it because makeup and bras are not inherently sexual. Barely anything outside of sex toys and sex itself is inherently sexual, but very often things that aren't inherently sexual are used to convey sexual messages.

I don't think it's wrong to sexualize Miku personally, but don't deny it with these petty technicalities.

Do you short term memory issues? How many times do I need to say that what makes something sexual is context and intention? What's the context of the ad? A girl in a bra. As has been repeated, underwear is not sexual. As for the intention, it says "drink a bottle", nothing really sexual about that.
The only thing you think is sexual about it is that you think boobs are sexual. Even bare, nude breasts are not inherently sexual. Context and intention. I'll repeat it again so it sticks. Context. And. Intention. The human body is not inherently sexual. In that ad, the outfit is not sexual, the pose is not sexual, the context is not sexual, there are no sexual implications whatsoever. I don't know why I'm even fucking bothering because I've yet to get it through your dense skull that a bra is not sexual. A swimsuit is not sexual. The human body is not sexual. It's context and intent that make a scene sexual.
>>
>>15993375
>They very obviously do not want that, because they've been getting better at removing it over time.

>>
>>15993417
Then tell me, why did the creators of the ad choose that particular look for the model? What does that have to do at all with Coca Cola? You cannot possibly look me in the eye and say that that ad was created with zero intent for sexual appeal. Fucking seriously, you goddamn children.
>>
>>15993375
It would be so nice to think they're trolling, but sadly I honestly don't think so
>>
>>15993553
I don't know what the context of the ad is, when, where, or why it was made. It could've been an ad fire a lingerie store. It could've been an ad in a plus sized women's digest. Without knowing the context or intention, it's hard to know if it's sexual in nature or not. At face value, it's just a woman in a bra.
>>
>>15993582
Christ. Do you really think that where the ad was placed changes the intent of the ad itself?? The ad isn't part of a series, it's not a selection in a book, it's a piece in itself. People can place the same ad in multiple places but the surroundings won't change the meaning of the ad. That's like saying if you put a short story in an anthology it changes the meaning of the story.

You say you don't know why it was made, but it being an ad for coke, isn't that obvious? Or is that the part you aren't sure of? In which case, I think the "Coca-Cola" logo on the bottom and the "Drink a bottle of" at the top make abundantly clear.

Just think for yourself for a second. You keep describing the technicalities of what it shows, but there's an obvious meaning to it that you ignore. Do you think Aesop's Fables were just silly little stories about animals too?
>>
/jp/ - marketing
>>
>>15993605
Where an ad is absolutely affects the intent of the ad. Google "baby powder ad" and you'll see lots of ads with naked baby butts. If that ad was in a parenting magazine, it wouldn't strike anyone as odd, but if it was in a Hustler, it would certainly be inappropriate. Because of the context. Same as the coke ad. The intent of the ad changes drastically when it's put in the summer edition of Plus Sized Ladies versus if it's put in a copy of Phat Juggz monthly. The context of the ad changes its intent, even if the ad doesn't change.
>>
>>15993627
How exactly does the "intent of the ad drastically change"?
>>
>>15993627
You know, I think you're a bit confused. Just because an ad might seem weird in one genre of magazine or whatever doesn't change its intent. The viewer will still be able to understand what it's selling and the basics of how (if the viewer isn't a complete dumbass). It'll just strike them as odd that this ad is next to stuff it usually isn't associated with. A detergent ad in a Playboy magazine is still selling detergent. Unless you're saying that it being in a Playboy makes it sexual? In which case, oh boy. This is truly fun.
>>
>>15993629
You really need this spelled out? If an ad has a plus sized lady in her underwear and the ad is in a magazine made by and for plus sized ladies, it's clearly not sexual. The context makes sense, given that the readers can identify with the model.
The same ad with a plus sized lady in a magazine made by and for men with a fetish for plus sized ladies is clearly sexual given the content. The intent is obvious that the model was chosen because the men would be sexually attracted to her.
Even if the ad is the same, the context determines if it's sexual in nature or not.
If you go to the beach and you see a woman in a bikini, it's not sexual. It's just a beach goer on a swimsuit.
If you go to a strip club and see the same woman in the same bikini, it's sexual.
Because of the fucking

CONTEXT
AND
INTENT
You dense idiot.
>>
>>15993656
A fair point and a good example, I'll give you that. An ad always considers its audience in order to craft its method for selling the product. However, the Coca Cola ad has a clear, obvious audience, and you can tell by its design. Why else would they randomly put her in frilly lingerie? For shits and giggles? Just like you said, they always consider the context, but also the content and layout of the ad itself. Pretending to ignore that choice in design is useless.

Does it? Do you know for a fact how the ad was used? Were you on the Coke marketing team? Presented without context, we can't know what the target audience might have been. We can only judge it by its face value. And at face value, a woman in her underwear is not sexual. It's context and intent that make it sexual. Why is she in her underwear? Again, we can't know without the context, so it's impossible to judge.
Tying this back to Super Groupies, the ad isn't sexual in context or intent. It's a dumb ad and pointless shameless cross marketing, but not sexual regardless.

>>15993691
I seriously implore you to find a context for that Coke ad that isn't the least bit sexual. The context matters, but the design of the ad reveals the most about the intent. You can't possibly tell me that it is impossible for you to grasp the meaning/intent of an ad unless it's place in a specific magazine. If it's by itself in a flyer on the street, or on a random Youtube video, or on a billboard, you just can't comprehend it at all? Sure, you can say that the meaning can't be proven with 100% certainty, but it's quite a pathetic argument to be honest, given all the evidence in the very purposeful layout of the ad.

Also, I was talking about the Sepang Miku, which is very clearly sexual, considering that race queens in general are sexual. The Super Groupies I don't really have an opinion on, they look pretty innocent to me.

It's a lost cause. The guy is basically ignoring commonly known things at this point. Anyone who goes on for this long and has actually read all the posts and can't understand things isn't worth talking to. They have decided that they are right and nothing will change their mind. Even if they know they're wrong they won't admit it.

What else would they be wearing? Jeans and a t shirt? For starters, race season is in the spring and summer, so they need to be comfortable. Wearing sweaters and hijabs would be difficult standing on a race track all day in the sun. That's where the umbrella comes from, too, by the way. Models wear clothes that are aesthetically pleasing, the need to look conventionally attractive. You ask why they wear but they wear but I wonder what it is you expect them to wear.

What can one do with these .wav files?

I doubt many women in the audience of a racing match are dressed in such revealing clothing. A t-shirt and shorts would be normal and expected. A decorated bikini is not. In fact, such tight clothing would be uncomfortable for an average woman in hot weather. Wouldn't a loose t-shirt make more sense?

It's the REASON they're wearing such decorative revealing clothing that makes the difference. The female audience members aren't selling anything with their appearance, so they don't need to wear revealing clothes. The race queens are so they do. It's as simple as that.

1) use a cuesheet-capable music player to convert the wav to a lossless format of your choosing
2) keep them in-tact and use said cuesheet-capable music player to play them
3) burn an exact copy of the original for yourself

they're 100% accurate copies of the originals. do what you want with them.

You're probably right, but I'm a pathetic loser who likes arguing with people on the internet. Especially stupid people who think they're smart.

Seriously, guy, he's doing one of three things
- trolling
- doesn't know better
- is in denial

Let him get the last word to end it.

The models wear what the models wear because they're paid to wear an outfit that the company thinks is eye-catching and represents their brand well. If the models wore normal, plain civilian clothes, it wouldn't do a good job of marketing the brand to people. Their outfits are decorative and revealing to get noticed, like a male peacock showing off his feathers. They're not wearing the clothes because they want to sexually excite men. That would make their jobs unimaginably uncomfortable.
>>
>>15993860
Yes, good job, the clothes are revealing so the girls will be noticed. But why are these outfits noticeable? Why does tight clothing get noticed by men?
I wonder.

Anyways, I do gotta work on my other stuff now, it was fun talkin' to ya buddy.
>>
>But why are these outfits noticeable?
Because they're unusual, interesting, eye catching, flashy, brightly colored, and such.
The same outfit would be noticeable on a tall hairy guy, too, would that make it sexual? Or is it only sexual on women because you've decided that women's bodies are inherently sexual.
Guys in mini skirts aren't conventionally attractive, though, and crossdressing wouldn't do well to promote one's product, given that racing fans are typically male, it's obvious they would be more intrigued by a female model, and repulsed by a male one. You know, context and intent and all that.

I only downloaded these two so far, but there's something wrong with the cue files. Party junkie wasn't displaying the tags correctly and Multiplies is giving me an error.

This should be the correct cue for Party Junkies, but I'm not sure how to fix Multiples. I'll take a look at the other albums too. Thanks for the uploads though!

The problem is not sexuality. Everyone enjoys or at least ignore vocaloid porn.
The problem is using sexuality as tool for marketing by officials.
