Does anyone know why the prices for woodblock prints on Japanese fine arts are like 10x the price of the ones on Fuji arts for the same prints at times?
It's expensive to print on wood.

Here's an example though

$3500 dollar difference almost, that can't just be cause of quality can it?

I think condition of Fuji art one is pretty bad. Look at the edge of the paper. it have been once totally worn out and fixed.
Perhaps, If you can confirm their condition with your own eyes, you will understand.

I've never held many japanese prints aside from some "cheesy" ones my parents brought back from asia decades ago with hummingbirds on it that were silk.
Outside of them being framed and in museums, perfect condition as well i haven't had much experience up close with asian prints up close. Thanks though I appreciate it, it's interesting to see the price difference in items like this, but considering they can amount to artifacts value wise I just have to do some more learning.
