As I said, some (like MIAD-810 and DASD-299) were flawed. With others, I had to manually re-adjust the audio, which isn't as nice as audio that's just right. Plus, HEVC got updated since some of my earliest rips, and DASD-299 for example is 700 MB smaller for it, on top of having its audio fixed.

Don't worry, I won't do it to every movie, obviously. Probably just a handful more that had manually edited audio. Now that I've bought some new movies, that's going to take a while anyway, since new movies are always a priority as long as I have any.

The capture card I use requires a certain piece of software from the manufacturer (well, not necessarily, I could probably use OBS, but it's what I use anyway). Back when I started capping, it had some issues. Namely, the audio would be too short for some reason. Of course, as the movie went on, this meant the audio would get delayed further and further.

Eventually what I did was extract the .wav from the uncompressed capture, add it to Audacity, change the speed to get close to how long the video is, then combine the encoded video and the new audio file. There were a few problems with this.

1. Changing speed also changes pitch. Of course, over a two hour movie that change isn't noticeable, but it's still not great.
2. The length of audio and video would still not be 100% identical. Again, not really noticeable, but still not great.
3. I had to synch up the audio and video afterwards (since the video got cut, but the audio didn't), which is less than perfect because I have no sense of rhythm etc.

They have since fixed these issues and their software now works quite well. If they hadn't fixed it, I'd have just started to use another program and fiddled with that. Their support is very nice and helpful I have to say, they fixed that shit within maybe two weeks of me reporting it, even though my report was sketchy and vague as fuck. Obviously, I didn't want to tell them I'm recording copyrighted material.
