- a Marisa head plush (yukkuri style), and a Reimu plush
- Griffon figures of Tenshi, Koishi, and Suika
- Nendoroid of Sanae

Why are you getting rid of it?
>>
How much do you want for the marisa and reimu?
>>
>>15162051
I lost interest in the franchise, I am also moving and it is taking up space

>>15162042
I would actually be willing to send some things like the plushes for free, as long as anon is willing to pay for shipping
>>
>>15162066
Ah dude hell yeah, you got contact info?
I'll throw money at that
>>
>>15162087
I can be reached at nika.c@yahoo

I'm in Canada so keep in mind extra shipping costs. I do have access to american paypal for payment though.

Thank you, and take it easy

Why sell them? Are you getting married or something?
>>
>>15162199
I am moving and they take up space I need
Since I no longer as am interested in Touhou as I once was I figure there are other people who'd like them
>>
>>15162199
My wife made me sell them to pay for her son's college fund. Don't judge me.

The spiritual death of a /jp/sie is a sad thing to behold. Take care of yourself, anon.

Worst yet, this is the filth that replaces you.
Hot crossboard memes, dude.

I don't like Touhou much outside of the manga but I appreciate your way of thinking OP

I buy second-hand merchandise almost exclusively because I like the item of the items I own having history

I no longer buy anything, I know I'm going to have to move within a year, I don't want to have to ship whole crates of goods from place to place. Even though my obsessions are getting worse as my work turns me into a virtual hikkikomori that resides in a laboratory and only talks to books and research material.

Shame you couldn't have put that Sanae up for sale a year in the future. I'm in Canada too.

>>15162513
>The spiritual death of a /jp/sie
I understand what you're talking about.

But we don't die. We just fade away, and become riajuu or stealth otaku.
My interests these days are limited to half an hour of anime right before bed, I no longer have the luxury of staying up until 5 AM marathoning entire seasons of anime.
I mean, I did it anyway last night, and because of that I fucked up the rest of my work day and won't be meeting my quota of research work and will have to suffer during crunch time on the weekend.

Thank you. I see it as a way to spread the mutual love for Touhou. Even though in my heart I will still have a place for it, I know there are others who are more passionate about it now than I am.

>>15163356
I'm in a similar process. I used to devote a lot of time to watching anime, collecting figures, and being a part of the community. But I've had some changes in lifestyle that have required me to put these things away or limit them more. My full interest will never die though.

A picture of Tenshi and Suika for those interested.

I hate the sword so much or else I would have probably gotten this some time ago.

I sent you a mail and I'm interested in the fairy manga and the nendo Sanae. If the mail for some reason doesn't arrive reply this post so I'll give you mine.

2. Did you rub your funny parts on it?

Yukkuri is $20. No funny parts were rubbed, but she was gently petted.

Thank you for all the support and your interest anons. I still have Tenshi and Koishi available to a good home.

If anyone wants other figures besides Touhou, most of the items here are for sale too: http://myfigurecollection.net/profile/slimymaid

This shit horrifies me, and is why I never buy figures. I have few interests, most stuff I dont care about, if I lost touhou after investing so much it would crush me. I dont want to become totally passionless.

How do I avoid becoming like these people?
Like you, reasearcher anon, you dont ahve time for anything, what do you do for fun outside work? Dont you find it horrifying to consider you have nothing outside work? I dont want to live just to work, I want to work to get money for things I enjoy.

>>15162565
>I buy second-hand merchandise almost exclusively because I like the item of the items I own having history
You're just hoping that 70 year old umbrella will become a cute girl in your lifetime.
I hope you dont buy second hand doujins, they probably have stains.
>>
>>15184784
>Dont you find it horrifying to consider you have nothing outside work?
No? It's not like I had a life before I started my current work.
>>
>>15184724
Is this $20 shipped? Damn, I kinda want it but I have no anonymous way to pay and receive it. And I just completed a inter-continental house move earlier this year so I should probably know better than to start collecting stuff again.
>>
>>15184948
You may not have had a life, but your time was spend on things you enjoy, with just work youy dont even have that luxury.
>>
>>15184784
>I want to work to get money for things I enjoy
salty neet itt
>>
>>15184784
I've never bought a doujin with stains on it, but buying them second-hand is unavoidable. There's literally no other way to own a pornographic comic made ten years ago in limited quantities. I doubt there's any higher chance that someone rubbed his otaku dick against the pages of a doujin than there is that he did against the pages of a volume of One Piece.
>>
>>15184784
>>15185145
Better to have owned and lost.

I don't know why these guys don't find methods of self employment or passive income generation. Trading hours for dollars for a single person is the worst money making scheme there is.

Only bottom of the barrel and popular "get this degree ™ and you'll be rich™" jobs are the soul-draining ones. Most people like working and still do things during the week and on weekends.
>>
>>15184784
>How do I avoid becoming like these people?

Don't worry, it seems you'll never become a working person with this line of thought.
>>
>>15185145
Grad school isn't real work though, it's what you do if you graduate from university and have no clue about what to do with the rest of your life but would probably kill yourself if you went full NEETHikki

Plus I enjoy the solitude and honestly do prefer being busy to sitting around at home and literally shitposting on /jp/ for hours
>>
>>15190961
Misuse of your own time isn't an argument towards work. That just proves the saying "if you don't run your own life, someone else will."
>>
>>15191025
Some people just aren't meant to be self-directed ubermensch. In fact I would say that most people on the big jay feel more comfortable when competent people are planning their lives and giving them shit to do in life.

This isn't an attack on how you may live your life. But even fomer hardcore NEETs like me (back in my early 20s) eventually get sick of that lifestyle.

It happens - where do you think all of us oldfags are going away to? Not all of us chose Gensokyo.

>This isn't an attack on how you may live your life. But even fomer hardcore NEETs like me (back in my early 20s) eventually get sick of that lifestyle.
How did you escape?
I now have panic attacks on the bus.

I cant really see how people escape the slope from neet to hiki.
>>
>>15191290
It's, sadly, an incredibly complicated process. Not that it's too difficult to do - it just takes a lot of patience, perseverance, willingness to accept results that are less than ideal, and most importantly constant self-awareness of your situation. A lot of people stay in their rut and die there because it's the path of least resistance.

Patience: Backsliding is common and almost unavoidable. You may be on a particularly good streak for a week when something happens and you, without knowing, regress back into old habits. An encounter with an aggressive panhandler, accidentally knocking over a display in a shop, running into an old acquaintance from school, or such things that trigger feelings of embarrassment or anxiety and make interacting with society feel difficult. Accepting that this is common and not a sign of your inability to get what you want will help you get in a state of mind where you can more quickly get back on track when the initial panic attack passes. I find writing a journal every day helps me rationalize and neuter such episodes.

Perseverence: This process, depending on your circumstances, can takes months or years before you can reach your goals and make lasting progress. Oftentimes you will need to do small thing repeatedly that help you get used to interacting with society on a daily basis. I forced myself to go to a local Starbucks and buy a cup of coffee just so I could get used to the interaction. Doing other things like walking along a trail in a public park or going to a municipal library may be more of your pace. Either way, you cannot just go from NEET to socially-adjusted niwaka in a couple of days, you need to build up a tolerance to socially uncomfortable situations slowly so that you may get more used to them.

Willingness to settle: I myself am not fully adjusted. I had a panic attack last night when I tried to go to a club that one of my fellow grad students invited me to. It's unlikely I'll ever be able to do that type of thing sober without shutting down and unconsciously removing myself from the situation. This situation is less than what I had hoped for years ago, but I am still much more better off.

Self-awareness: This is very important. You need to be able to recognize your problems and how they manifest themselves so that you can cope with them in a rational manner and not let emotions overwhelm you decision making.
>>
>>15192025
Panic attacks cause physical symptoms. Those are what stop me more than anything. It's easy to ignore things, until your stomach hurts like fuck, and you feel like you're going to shit yourself. Doesnt help that one time I powered through it felt like I had a bowel movement. I didnt, but it felt like it, and that was a horrific feeling.
Add in sweating and feeling light headed and it's just destroying my ability to function.

I hope things work out for you anon.
