The numbers aren't accurate to the best of my knowledge and it doesn't calculate sparkle bonuses. It's useful mainly for finding out if a certain combination of equipment or positioning(e.g. moving ktkm up or down a slot, who should be flag etc.) gives higher S-rank/boss-kill percentages

Bisko gets 1 round of shelling before entering night battle. It's just not worth it especially when it's all leftovers(orange-red) which bisko simply cannot deal with in daytime. Nighttime bisko's 38x2/nightplane/searchlight is easily inferior to eugen's 2xtorp/gun/nightplane. Toss the searchlight duty to a DD and you've gained another cut-in ship

It is easy modo. I do world3 weekly using 3-5 south route every week. It is much cheaper and has a higher success rate than 3-3 due to zero compass trolling. They have shit accuracy in diamond formation and if you get lucky with AA fleet assignment, the gold CVL can't even attack.

First time is the worst. When your whole fleet is comfortably above lv90 and you upgrade your eq further it becomes better.
It's very hard to say how much is expected. Re's torpedo can be infuriating and there's always 20% troll compass (always hits when you pass Re elite without much damage).

I mean, Cranes are good, sure, but they have high consumption. Before Crane Kai Nis were implemented I usually used Taihou+Hiryuu combo, or something like that. Relatively cheap and effective, good slots.
Of course, Unryuus and CVLs are cheaper, but they are too squishy and weak for my taste.

I'm thinking of using something like Taihou+ZuikakuK2A combo, but that sorta expensive for a silly weekly quest.

for 4-2. With two carriers you can get away with CVLs. The main threat is Ru on boss node, there's higher chance your carrier will get scratched to chuuha than outright hit to it.

The main advantage of TCI is a monstrous opening and closing torp(180ish) and a guaranteed kill even through orange/red bosses.

Personally I'd use DAs up till around 44ish luck, at which point searchlight + star shell would allow for a 2/3 cut-in chance. You could go as high as 3/4 if you have the maruyus to spare

As ships get chuuha/taiha I rotate them out for another
For 4-2:

You just have to be aware of doukousen/hankousen

Roma, Nagamon(with 1x51), KRSM can easily output the same amount of damage as hotels on a doukousen. It's when hankousen occurs that the hotel's 190-ish firepower with 2x 38kais truly shines

Doukousen is still the most common engagement form so don't worry little head about it. A KRSM with the right gear still smashes BB himes

Hotels are special because they can take a hit from the boss and still stay yellow, while shrugging off most normal enemies. They aren't really "boss-killers" like what you're insinuating

I watch a speedrun of all the EOs every month and the guy usually has taiha about half the time with married ships and full sparkle.
