I don't think getting AP in the void is that easy.

My golem dude and pets got pretty much no AP at level 80 of the void, and that's after grinding up a few very overlevelled North Tyris bosses that would definitely stomp your character.

Though my pets just might be having a hard time getting AP since they've gotten a decent amount already.

You'd be better off just taking on level 80 overworld dungeons than the void. They have dragons and other easy AP at that level, I think.

if you want to start spell casting right at the start? lich/elea/fairy and wizard

Fairy has tons of bonuses with resists/DV/speed/high base mana and it's equipment restrictions will likely prevent you from incurring a caster penalty. As the game goes on though fairy speed and mana become less and less valuable and the aforementioned equipment restrictions become extremely painful to deal with. Fairies also have extremely low base life and it requires quite a bit of grinding to fix.

Elea racials are useful, the reduced ether corruption reduces the amount of cure corruption potions you will need to drink but that becomes meaningless after a while. The resistance to magic reaction damage however is probley the most valuable ability you can have as a mage in the lastest version and makes power leveling your will/magic capacity skill even easier.

Lich has the highest base mana out of all the starting races and when you are casting spells constantly you will need it. Unlike the fairy the lich also doesn't lose a ton of base life.

The class you pick is wizard simply due to the amount of spellcasting skills it gives you, the only one you are missing is control magic. You can live without that though since magic dart is the only spell you will be able to cast for a quite a while.

If you're looking at the super long-term, Golems are probably the best spellcasters in the game. The immunity to Dim is nothing to scoff at, and even now I don't think you can get immunity to Dim any other way than starting as a Golem.

I have control magic at 94 and alchemy at 75, I wonder if this thing could be remotely useful at higher levels.

Do the stat growth boosts from raw "it maintains" equipment and stuff like putitoros affect herbed foods? I've been using them until now, but it's been out of pure superstition, not sure if they actually affect anything.

I've always wondered if dim immunity was the exclusive property of Golems. Prior to my resists I have now I handled dim by either killing the enemy before it did all its bad stuff or by drinking a healing potion. Now most enemies can't even dim me it seems due to high sound resist. I have all my sound resist on my necklace and prior to being brainwashed in the void by an enemy, almost nothing seemed to dim me. When my necklace was unequipped through brainwash then almost every enemy was dimming me. Only Yith/Eldritch horrors and one of the Performaids can dim me at the moment making me think that if I just stack more sound resist then they too won't dim me. Are there any high level Golems that never had to worry about dim at very deep levels of the void? Are there any players that can confirm if stacking sound resist to really high levels can grant me immunity to dim or is it truly the exclusive property of golems?

Speaking of eldritch horrors, I've been going into the deep levels of the void to train my pet and I seem to have come out a mental train wreck. I knew the sanity buildup was going to get bad eventually down there but I guess I really have to start paying more attention to it now and start taking more active means of treating it.

Looks like I'm going to have the chiche anime hot spring episode where I go to Larna and enjoy the hot springs with my pets. Maybe sister lunches can heal my shattered mind and put me back in a good place. Those sisters are going to be busy in the kitchen for quite awhile.

the enhanced spells attribute is capped and when you get the mag abyss and a living weapon you can basically max out your enhanced spells without dual wielding, you can do so easily if you also put a enhances spells item in your throw.

I personally just use a two handed weapon since I do not want my casting chance reduced at all.

Those are definitely important. I'm not sure about skimping out on the rest if you're not rich in materials for artifact fusion though.

There was a powerful anon that posted awhile back that was cramming lots of magic resist on his gear. The reasoning for it is that magic resist definitely does protect against magic type but it was found that magic resist also provides a bit of resistance for all the other resists too. Definitely not as good as the resist meant for a particular resist but still something. If you did stack tons of magic resist you'd be able to maybe eventually resist everything is what I think he was trying to see. You would certainly be able to skimp out on some resists but you'd have to have a lot of whatever it is that you need to stack that magic resist and I don't think they're that common. That and you'd need the attribute scrolls too.

Magic resistance seems to be exactly half as effective as any other resistance type for any non-magic elemental damage, if the formula still holds true to last version.
Magic is definitely the answer when talking about damage and damage only, especially since it's not covered by the resistance spell.

The great thing about magic res is that it goes on top of other resists. e.g. Mind damage is reduced by x% due to mind res, then y% due to magic res. In other words, you dodge the diminishing returns.

The best thing to do is probably to have 5~6 stars in all elements, then lots in magic.

Just keep improving gardening, and the proportion of rare herbs will go up. You'll always get a majority of stomafilias/curarias, though.

Could I get some tips for my little home? Let me know if you need more pictures before you can make an assessment. The story is that the schang-clan is in the middle of some serious unrest; within the clan there are several tribes that make up the community, some larger than others and greater in influence etc etc. tldr the lords of two tribes and all the Psykers protecting them have been found skinned on the holy grounds of the clan. The character has decided this is too much and has made a small personal island to escape the intrigues and also so that he may become more powerful to protect himself from assassins. Being from the forest, however, he has attempted some adjustments to what would otherwise be a sandy retreat. My issue here is I don't know what furniture would look good here or what tiles would better convey the Haunted forest/abandoned beach look I'm trying to go for.

This is a horrible idea. Stronger pets should be harder to train. Some of the abilities these pets have need to be balanced against something.To strip away the difficulty is to pretty much make weaker pets less appealing and you'll see less diversity in the pets people own. If you want an easy pet to train just go with a snail or something. Leave the higher pets alone until you're strong enough yourself to train them. The way it is now is good because you actually have to work for things. If you can't hack it then Elosnack is there for you but it would be horrible if all pets were easy to train. Hell some people think they're way too easy to train as is.

I'd add a librarian, but since residents are shared between both floors, the librarian would end up trotting around in the upper-lava like the little sisters. Which isn't too bad, but I wish it didn't happen.

For the beach side I would suggest the water to sand tiles like in pic related. The designer tool only comes with ones facing toward the left side of the map though. Not sure if you plan on dividing the space between the forest and the beach or not, but I would place the mountainside tiles (bottom-left of pic) in between the two to create the impression of the forest being raised slightly higher to the beach (like how the town in valm is raised higher to the beach), with a grass pathway added leading toward the forest.

For the forest maybe you should try outlining it with those tree looking tiles (like in forest dungeons) then add actual trees—you can just pickpocket—throughout the open areas. Adding a few tree tiles within can also create a bit of shading giving the forest a darker look, similar to the map arrangement seen in hunting quests. For a more haunted look try adding more dead trees and those broken grave stones from the wilderness.

I have no idea how your house is supposed would fit in all that though..

I'm at around lv 700ish spirits. Make about 90-110k music tickets each party. So I get up to three hero cheese or three magic fruit or 13 speed uppers each party. It really depends on how many named NPCs show up though. Like the other anon, I go in and surgically remove everyone in the party with magic ball or magic dart leaving only the named NPCs because those are your score multipliers.

After I perform or ensemble in front of the named NPCs and them starred a decently sized box around myself using the wall creation spell. I wait in there until there is 10 minutes left in the party and summon spirits within that box. I then use alchemy rain. So you only really need 2 love potions at most but one is usually fine. After the rain I just teleport out of the box and finish the party up.

Having all the magic vendors in the game invested in helps in buying wonder scrolls. I'm not sure what the game is like for other players with strong characters but my game heavily revolves around cool downs(Kumi Statue, gemstones, vendor restocking, etc). I actually heavily work off of the days in Elona. Like every 5 days I'm checking my statues, gardening/harvesting/restoring wilted plants, every 3 or 4 days I'm checking my vendors and the days in between I'm in the void or speed running normal dungeons for gold, big daddies, and medals. If you're only interested in farming scrolls of wonder I'd look into finding a way to slow your character down so the days pass faster or just hang out in the deep sea castle for a bit to pass the days. After a couple of days vendors usually refresh their stock and if you need to assist the process just buy their whole inventory out and wait.

When you summon the spirits some of them get drunk at the party and eventually start to fight among themselves or if you're nearby will attack you or the named NPCs. If they target your named NPCs they'll die and your score will go down. If they target you you have to deal with a spirit that probably has 2000 in each of their attributes and can do considerable damage if you're not strong yourself. If they fight amongst themselves some of the spirits will die and your score will also be reduced this way as well. To mitigate this I wall them up so they don't kill the named NPCs and I summon them with only 10 minutes left so that even if they do fight in that box the party will end hopefully before anyone dies and I reap the most points I can get. Also, if you do alchemy rain twice because you didn't capture all of them in the rain the first time they'll all become hostile to you. Again, that's bad.

Only quests I really do these days are party quests but before I used to do a lot of challenge and panic quests too. When I was just starting out it was hunting and before it's too late quests.

I have one farm dedicated to magic seeds in the hopes of finding a rod of wishing or to just use as offering fodder to Itzpalt.

Most of my platinum comes from dungeon speed running and killing the bosses. In the past I used to turn in gold medals for growth scrolls but I don't really do that much anymore. The reasoning being is that there is only three skills I'm focusing on raising at the moment and that's magic device, firearm, and marksman. The platinum coin I get is usually enough to keep those three skills high for me. Since I'm also a caster most of my power is focused on spell levels and spell potential doesn't run off of platinum coins but just sleep.

There is also the fact that I'm using AP to level up skills too instead of actually grinding them. But the biggest factor of why I'm not even bothering with growth scrolls is I get so many bonus skill points just from leveling. I don't even need to train skills cause I just shove bonus skill points into them.

Having said that though, if I didn't have what I have now with the summon spirit tricks I'd probably go back to farming growth scrolls. If one doesn't have their spirit spells highly leveled then I can definitely see farming for growth scrolls as well, blessing the stack, and consuming them.

I don't force feed a fairy. I have plenty of Kumi statues and I just couldn't bring myself to abuse my fairy. Not going to condemn others if they want to use the cursed alcohol trick though.

So this city points you're getting for completing quests. You can spend it to renew le vote timer and vote many times in a row.

Easy adventurer killer.

Not that anon but pets don't have spell levels. Their spell power is calculated as Casting * 6 + 10. The power of holy veil is this formula 50 + SpellPower*2/3. So assuming a casting skill of 2000 and the 2.5x spellpower multiplier from equipment you get 20,066 so 20,246 power is a reasonable number as there might be something else at play too. And yes, a very high level spirit spell will summon a spirit that has capped stuff or near it.

This particular anon was able to dominate the spirit before the nerf went into live that made it so spirits couldn't be dominated. Guess you now know why that nerf happened.

Finally got a lucky day after a hundred or so hours of play. Things to do:

- crafting
- chest/treasure ball opening
- blackjack

Is that pretty much it? I'm at about midgame, beat the story and grinding to beat Karavika and the like.

Actually the spellpower for the player might edge out against a pets. Player spellpower is SpellLevel*10 + 50 and the pets spellpower is Casting * 6 + 10. So if spell level cap is 2000 then the player is going to win. It's a whole lot easier to make spells stronger for a pet though.

I got a new skill on level up, dimensional fishing.
When used outside towns, it seems to have a chance to spawn an appropriate monster as if it was a normal spawn, i assume ?

Didn't saw mention of it in the changenote, in the special action page, or even in this thread.
Could be nice for a relatively safe way to farm relatively strong mobs, one by one.

I think what it actually does is it draws forth a monster already on the map elsewhere to you. Note that the skill does not work if there is no monster on the map. So what is it used for? Well you already stated it which is to kill monsters safely. So what you could do is just wall yourself up completely leaving just enough space to do your dimensional fishing. You can kill things one at a time in your little bunker instead of having to worry about being swarmed and you can give yourself time to heal up before fishing up another monster.

Interesting. Now maybe explosive mines can be useful. Mine a room, fish a monster, teleport away and wait for the dozen of explosions. Mines are supposed to scale with dungeon level too. A Big Daddy can be a worthwhile target for this. I got a stock pile from dungeon diving.

The rail gun's invokes was oneshotting my Hands and i had to retreat hastily two times, but finally i did it.
Spamming slow may be humble, but it was the deciding factor.

Mmmh, she didn't got the emergency evasion action. Don't care for the action itself as it can be taught anyway, but kinda worried that she didn't get the carmor bit either.

A quick test by spamming ice bolt seems to appease my doubt though, Hidari get killed in 4-5 cast while Migi is still above 75% after ten casts, tested without resist cold for both. Yay !

Since you made your custom NPC unique, I'd assume it works the same as a regular unique NPC.
I just tested it on wizard mode and it works with the pen.

Also, does she spam text? Is she too strong as well with resistances? I put two lines on the txtDialog part because the template made it seem like a good idea.
