Her usual AACI setup. You can put on her any AA gun you want as long as you give her an AACI capable gun. If you don't want to bring Maya, you can bring Akiduki or Teruduki in your second fleet but in this case, Maya is better since you need the rest of your DDs in the second fleet to focus on ASW.

Also, Maya can sometimes be a great meatshield for the boss.

Anything works, really. You can put two Reppus on the CVL's two biggest slots while the other two slots can be for a torpedo bomber and Saiun. If you already equipped Saiun on one of them, put that one ASW aircraft on the other shipgirl. If you have Jun'you Kai2 or RJ Kai2, it's better.

Switch Chiyoda with Ooyodo. Ooyodo should be flagship to prevent getting hit at all and both BBs should equip red shells. For the second fleet, make sure to bring DDs with very high ASW while the CLTs have two yellow guns and Kouhyouteki.

Yes, they don't do much damage but they can at least kill the trash subs cockblocking you from the hime. Once they're done with them, Ooyodo will be able to attack and take half or all of Sub hime's HP.

They can at least help by doing 3 or 4 damage against the boss because every single damage done against the boss is important, even if its really small. Yuubari and Ooyodo CAN miss and it's really catastrophic if they missed.

Need some advice for E-3

Is two drums per ship on main fleet for medium too much? I have akitsumaru kai with a max level 601 and 2 landing craft. The rest of my ships are kai/kai ni with capped premarriage stats. Using the 1 CAV 4 DD 1 LHA + 1 CL 2 CA 3 DD set up.

I'm asking because I ended up randomly getting taiha'd on node 1 the first 3 or 4 sorties. Then the first time I hit the boss node the most damage I did during a single attack during daytime was 8. Ended up only killing two ships, and having like 10 ships at orange/red and getting C rank at the end of it.

I can't tell if I'm doing something wrong or my luck is shittier than normal.

If a ship became taiha'd during day battle, can it sink if I continue to night battle?

Why even bother putting ASW on the first fleet 4 slot CL when all it's going to do is overcrit the mook subs?

When fighting installation bosses the escort fleet should be geared mainly to finishing her off in night because almost everything in day will be scratch. In fact you'll do better with a CLT instead of a BB because you get 3 daytime attacks compared to a BB's single attack, clearing escorts much more reliably. Your goal should be to clear all escorts during day, and then have 2 CAs with sanshiki rape the boss in the night.

You are so utterly fucked. It's at least 400 ammo per sortie, Graf has like 2% drop rate and Prinz about 1%. I'm down over 50k, got Graf but not Prinz yet. For me it was Shigure. Despite having the highest evasion in my fleet, she always seem to take those one hits. Judging from her new lines, looks like her PTSD is still getting the best of her.
