Just noticed Etana's skill awakening on banner. What do they mean "use at same time"? She could choose between casting fireball or healing? Or cast both at once?

I doubt you'll be able to achieve anything relevant with the current event. This is the hardest event we have had so far and the minimum requirements for getting any reward are pretty high. Even if you manage to clear easy versions of the missions, the hard missions are difficult even for veteran players with fully levelled squads. And you need at least 18 stars to even unlock the event unit. So it's probably best if you sit this one out and concentrate on levelling your team, levelling a basis for your team is really important in the beginning.

Somewhere towards the end of the week, after your team is levelled a bit more, you could try to 3* some maps for sacred crystals.

Events usually aren't as mean as this one, so you should be able to do more in the coming events.

In Kanpani, is there any way to increase the chances of getting recipe drops?

GK: the event rank rewards finally got delivered. Seems this "beginner's set" is a bunch of time shavers and a couple 7 day income/prod boosters

DT: I've just discovered that limit breaks using a fully levelled base card guarantees skill ups on the awakened card. I spent hours coming up with the ideal feeding network to raise skills and I'm so glad I can throw it all away to just eat all the unwanted Rs.

This event's been showering me with stuff for just being logged on and attentive. Funny moments in coliseum have happened, including taking down a whale's team with 100k more battle points led by the Step-up UR - the leader got nuked to death on turn 1.

30+ at minimum, 35 would prob be ok to start. Yes, do not go to any red areas, they are for 60+ (maybe even higher) groups. Keep going down non red and then when you are selecting doors choose any but choosing iron then choosing familiar door makes you fight the rival president team which is easy enough to beat.

I wouldn't consider that bad luck, 3 plats in 30 rolls is 10% which is right on the mark. They even said "only 3 decent plats" which means they got other plats too so they're above odds which I would argue as lucky.
I've done 50 rolls with no blacks and only 3 plats total. Now that's bad luck.

Alright, got exactly what I needed from the event, and not a soul too many. She was expensive, but I just couldn't resist.

The last reward tier is a bit weird though, I don't see how 10 levels should be worth another 100 souls. Sounds to me like even spending crystals on charisma to farm fodder would be cheaper for getting her to 50.

Up to you farm for recipe (though beginner ones have dailies on Saturday I believe). Can try to farm employees. Can farm mats, just whatever you are trying to strive towards atm. If you don't have any particular goal, 2-6 is good to farm for money. Can get coins and lots of turquoise so can sell them too. There is also chance for new employee's.

I'd say what makes her worth it is that most people don't own a mincosted Jerome. Most people would have to compare her to something like a 12 cost Katie/Julian, and I'd say a platinum soldier with levelled up skill is definitely worth the 1 or 2 extra cost, since you can activate her ability way faster than gold soldiers. Also, her Awakening ability buffs HA defense, which is a nice bonus.

I'm really happy with the fact that Lieselotte will automatically get a high skill level without having to spend rainbow fairies. And having an event unit that doesn't need to get 10 skillevels means she should easily end up with at least 4/5. It would take a very long time before I'm willing to spend the necessary rainbow fairies on Julian just for his awakening.

I assume the downside of those unit cost + buff type skills is that the cooldown only starts once the buff runs out? Often a single use of the ability is already enough before retreat, so getting a nice attack and defense buff sounds like a good deal, and I can still field a gold soldier if I want a more constant and stable unit point generation.

I wonder what the exact values for Liese's AW skill buff are.

AoE is key to this event. At X map, if you don't kill initial pack of 3 princes (let them fight with HA), you can store up enough UP to summon 4-5 AOE units.

Awakening update came straight after Summon beast in the earth event, which was so hard so awakening could be appreciated. Moving awakening to after a weak event makes little sense, in the overall flow of the game.
Nothing has been said about when it'll come nor that we have to have all preawakening events before awakening. Most early post awakening events where easier than summon beast too.

GRs would be good compromise between break and drop farming. There's no post-completion plats at first GRs, and drops are easy so you can complete them in first few attempts, giving plenty of time to do dailies.

GR drop rates aren't good at all though. You need to be really lucky to complete them in the first few attempts since the rare item only has a 5% drop rate and silver only have a 10% drop rate. You're more likely going to need to spend all of your natural stamina and probably a few crystals if you want all of the gold units.

I'm completely freemium and didn't skip any events at DMM for several months and I'm steadily awakening my units. Got Etana and Rachie to CC50 in one go by spending some of stored up tin cans and still have 15 of them in second barracks.
Only two dailies you ever want to do are DC and affection, and doing them during star trial or story mission events is more than enough. For the rest of time, you are better off by grinding event maps.

So, having done story 10, I tried running Adel (dragon maid) in my 150 org army. Well, that was fun but I'm putting her back in the tent now - eventually I'll have an 'air force' corps to take advantage of poor AA. But I'd need more org cost to do it justice.

If you don't have enough defensive units for the final prince rush, you could just let some of them through as long as you intercept the drops. I only have 1 armor, hold 1 other lane with katie, and the last one with julian for the first half and with matsuri in the 2nd half who just bursts down the incoming enemies together with mages. I think you should be able to replace her with a decent duelist who intercepts some enemies and lets a few through, as long as you watch out for the drops. I don't know off the top of the head which enemy drops what, but I'm sure theres a solution where you get everything.

Remember you only need to 1* to get past a story battle. That map in pic only needs 2 towers nuked for the archer ball to snipe the castle.

Nominally you should also be doing PvP battles for EXP but I'm not sure what the metagame is like at the lower levels. Even if you lose, you are getting EXP. There ought to be some bases out there that offer easy resources for archers.

Hmm, so AS now has a new 'currency' when you do premium/elemental gacha rolls (tickets count). 2 premium (ticket) rolls and you get a useful 5 drop HR (+4 mana = stun 1 face-up).
