That's the thing though, my experience is the exact opposite, so I'm always arguing against the fags who say that Japan is xenophobic.

It's like some percent of white people flying into the country get turned into niggers and warped back to a bizarro Japan that's actually 1950s America. I can't imagine anyone ever denying me some service here because I'm white, it just seems so ridiculous. But there are people who seem to claim it happens regularly.

My only guess is that these people can't speak Japanese very well and/or expect Japan to be "colorblind", and thus they misinterpret all sorts of random things to be racism or xenophobia when they really aren't.
