There are many English speaking countries

I know a lot of Americans who got visas to work stem jobs in your country because apparently Canada doesn't have enough workers for those jobs.

I don't understand

You must be dumb. If you did a degree in engineering or finance you're practically guaranteed a job. If you did something in science then go for a masters and you'll get a cushy lab job.

Fuckin normie

it's because canadians leave for america typically, for medicine and comp sci/software jobs
doctors get their salaries doubled by going to the states, software developers get 2-3x more in the states

I'm surprised more people don't do this. When I've brought it up on /int/ with European posters they always respond with, "Ewww, why would I want to live in America??" I guess Canadians have lower standards.

life in big cities >>> life in the islamic emirate of europe
canadians who are competent at what they do leave for the states as the salaries in the states are a lot higher for certain fields, a doctor earning 200k canadian here can easily earn 300k usd in america, a software developer like myself who earns 80k cad here can earn 120-160k usd in the states (I've had offers in the bay area for 150k before, a good chunk of my classmates also went to the states for work because of the money).
America just drains talent from virtually every country with its $
