If you could instantly learn one language perfectly, what would you choose?
Everyone I know would pick German/French/Spanish, but since I have no wish/opportunity to move to any of those countries I wouldn't know what to pick.
I'd probably pick Japanese for shits and giggles and to watch anime unsubbed.

English actually.
Stress on the perfectly

Same

>and to watch anime unsubbed
Shameful display. No one watches anime on the Balkans.

Really?
Assuming you're a native, I don't think it would take you that much effort to learn it near-perfectly on your own.
You looking to become a writer/teacher?

I am but there's a lot you forget. Also the thing would be the clarity of concept. So for example I look at the word regret and I have a subjective interpretation of the concept. If I had perfect language I would have a broader understanding of my culture and the world

Never really thought about it that way.
I guess it makes sense that with perfect vocabulary you'd be able to grasp a lot more concepts. It would make everday conversation more interesting, at least.

any of the harder east Asian languages (Chinese, Korean, Japanese) because if I learn one of them, learning the other ones would be significantly easier, and due to fact that learning any west language as English native speaker isn't too difficult if you sit down for a year and do some work

Hebrew or Greek
>>79397990
German of course, I'm interested in philosophy

I've wondered - how much does learning the Japanese kanji help with learning Chinese? Do the symbols basically mean the same things?
>>79397990
Actually the same as Aussie here >>79398019
The way of speaking can really be useful to look more charismatic. And since English is the basic language that everyone knows it would be very nice to know all english words and to be fluent.

>Arabic
