Going back to /a/ is sadly not an option, but half dead threads here due to the split userbase isn't nice either.
On /jp/ threads last a week with more than 600 posts.

People said the /jp/ thread is "full of autistic jpsies" but I think most people here never gave it a chance, in reality it's mostly people like us from /a/ or /int/ and not jpsies.
There might be an asshole once in a while, but the same applies to /int/ as well.

I just think the split DJT is fucking shit, don't want to stir up shit, I'm now going to leave the thread and read for a bit.

I think in this case the 来る in 用意してくる is the third, ウ meaning of the supplementary verb 来る. That is to say, to go get something ready and then come back. In English we might just say "go and get something ready" without explicitly stating the "and come back" part.

たとえば「金属の鎧がたてる、ガシャリという音」(ロードス島戦記から)
それとも「十二人はガシャリと一斉に武器を構え」(SAOから。ロードスから借りた言葉だと邪推しやすい)
そして定義を明らかに述べるように「ガシャリという低い金属音」という例も現れた。

You don't need Anki to learn Japanese. Japanese don't use it.

Anki just helps to fill the gap because you had no immersion throughout your life, it artificially enables you to juggle enough information to read and get used to the language.

Once you realize you're not checking dictionaries that much anymore, and you're easily discerning between kanji instead of ballparking, you can stop. It's when you've reached the same kind of intuition a native has.
