After 1965, Japan started to give South Korea shitload of technology transfers as well as economic aids.

POSCO's first modern large steelworks for example was built by Shin-nihon-seitetsu (New Japan Steel) with Japanese grants.
When Hyundai entered car industry, Japanese Mitsubishi motor company supported it.
When Samsung entered semiconductor industry, Japanese Sanyo and Toshiba supported it.
When Samyang Food entered instant ramen industry, Japanese Myojo food supported it (pic related)
... and the list never ends.
