Why don't they manage to create an Union?
Culturally and linguistically, they are much more similar than the Europeans
because USA
>>79100765
because not everything needs to be united for the sake of being united, autist
>>79100787
Being united against americans would be a noble goal though.
>>79100785
Really? They don't want you united?
They did historically support our union
this guy is an idiot
Mercosur, Pacific Alliance
>>79100887
Dividing to try and control south america and it's resources has been an anglo/french pirate thing since the colonial days. Source: My country exists because brits wanted to divide and weaken the united provinces of the river plate and take advantage of Montevideo's port. Another source, the colonies only rebelled because of france.
They also were behind the Argentina+Brasil vs Paraguay war because Paraguay had a lot of resources and was beginning big industralization.
About USA, read condor op or some other CIA bullshit
>>79100816
>Being united against americans would be a noble goal
People are already united against niggers and spics tho
imagine being a greasy, dirty monkey. I'd rather be a leaf
Oh man, we are pretty different from one another. I assure you.
>>79101146
Man, that really sucks. I am just glad that Americans have a soft spot for us Europeans
>>79100765
Because there is not a single advantage to come from that
>>79101509
You don't see any advantages from removing trade barriers?
>>79101146
>They also were behind the Argentina+Brasil vs Paraguay war because Paraguay had a lot of resources and was beginning big
industralization.
That was Britain tho, and it was also Lopez's fault too.
>>79101158
You misspelled wh*Toids
>>79101609
>That was Britain tho
Yeah that's what I said
>>79101608
a huge country like Brazil doesn't need it
i guess same language, food ...etc
but not equeal cultural n politic why is ...now is not expansionist age
just i guess
>>79101146
Best team ever
>>79102476
Pretty sure every country benefits from more trade oppurtinities
>>79102476
That is a very naive thing to say.
>>79100765
Criollos are wary, resentful and jealous of each other.
America (CIA anglo niggers)
Soon.
One day everything will be PerĂș.
Everything.
probably the lack of infrastructure, very hard to have strong government that can reach every region of the country when there ain't even roads uniting all the regions, it's like that for Central America, imagine for the entire South America
never really got why Chile and Argentina didn't unite into one doe
>>79100765
Different peoples always were, unless youre trivializing the native peoples.
>>79103853
Argentina is buenos aires thats it, great plains of nothing and no roads outside.
why doesnt USA mexico and Canada create an union?
>>79100765
they actually already are making one. they are not uniting the countries but making an EU-like trade deal
>Union del PacĂfico (Union of the Pacific sea)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_1qF2JeEBQ
similar to NAFTA in north america, except without trump being an egomaniac and fucking trade deals
>>79103853
They have very little in common, more so in colonial times.
>>79103764
>>79103391
Why dont the US and Canada unite then?
>>79103853
there's 5 thousand meters worth of mountains between us for the most part lad
>>79103932
source?
>>79100765
You can say that all of the countrys in South america have a lot of cultural and linguistic similarities, except for Brasil, wich is actually pretty different from the rest and there's no sense of south american unity there is on the rest.
>>79104137
Chile and arg arent a united block of population
>>79103853
Not only was Argentina's population was concentrated at the opposite coast, but the Andes reaches its highest heights at the border of these two countries, that would make it a logistical nightmare (and im talking about real height, not some lame shit like the alpes or the pyrenees)
>>79104003
Canada is US vassal already
>>79103953
>why doesnt USA mexico and Canada create an union?
NAFTA aside the non meme reason is American exceptionalism.
>A significant portion of Americans legit believes their constitution is something close to a sacred text, they might accept annexing their neighbours but will never agree to any laws above it. As it is they barely acknowledge international law even tho they created much of it.
>Canada and Mexico hardly need the grief or the tax burden that comes with American foreign policy, both nations are in fact closer in terms of laws to the EU than the the USA.
There will never be a North American Union.
>>79103932
Argentina was so rich and it's soil seems so easy to create infrastructure, it's kinda weird how it didn't develop as much as everybody thought it would
>>79104377
Mexico is barely nlrth american
>>79104261
>>79104246
>>79104137
makes sense
>>79103999
they do?
>>79104261
I want to visit Chile
>>79104425
In 1869 arg had population of 1.6 million
>>79100765
Well Peru and Spain blocked Chile from joining with the cunts beyond the mountains back in 1799, Spain didnt want the southern cone to have ports on both oceans.
It's a shame, the union and eventual independence would had changed things a lot, Brazil wouldnt be the most powerful country in south america, and i doubt Paraguay or Bolivia would still exist.
>>79100785
>79100785
nice copout monkeyboy, it is because of corruption, something that doesn't exist in W Europe
>>79104246
Chile, truly the autist
>>79104377
>A significant portion of Americans legit believes their constitution is something close to a sacred text
This is the reason why we've had more or less a stable government since our government was formed. The purpose of following the constitution is so nobody can become too powerful, which is a protection from corruption and dictatorship.
>>79104601
We were actually rich around 1910, with something like 9 million people. Still a small population, I'll give you that
>>79104430
You mean geographically? The by far larger part of the country is in North America going by the most generous definition of Central America which would include all territory east of the isthmus of Tehuantepec. Nevermind you can hardly argue there's any real geographical discontinuity across the US-Mexico border. In terms of culture the American southwest is largely Mexican, nevermind much of its LEGAL population holds Mexican ancestry.
>>79104601
when the US became independent it had a population of 4 million
>>79104655
I'll grant you could argue that, I meant that as a neutral observation.
>>79104728
Mexican popukation is not continued with us population
>>79101318
>comparing europe and latam
you worked hard and made yourself 1st world.
they brought it upon themselves and blame the us for everything.
>>79104835
I know. I was just explaining
>>79104728
There's a pretty serious desert separating population centers on the southern border. It's not something you can really administrate across, hence why all your territories up north were frequently in a state of rebellion. Hell, up until 1900 or so, it was difficult even for the US to administer those territories, hence the 'lawless west' trope.
The advantage that the US has is the incredibly strong core region in the Mississippi River Basin which grows shitloads of food, is easy to move around within (thanks to all those rivers), and is directly adjacent to all those yummy southwestern territories.
>>79104871
That would be a very strange criteria on which to base a continental division. In all fairness the desrt should have worked as a natural buffer zone of sorts between us but you had to go and heavily populate places without the water resources for it. Still, TJ is our fifth largest city, Monterrey is the third, there certainly is a gradient of mixed culture cutting well into your territory.

"Johnson, all this grain and industry is producing more capital than we know what to do with. What should we do?"
"I know! We'll build a city in the middle of an inhospitable desert wasteland so we can have a place to gamble and get divorced."
"johnson yuo r of genius"
