So, how was your High School /int/?
Any fun stories?
Any teenage regrets?
>>
Being retarded in ways too numerous to name.
>>
>>79069208
Instead of being bullied by maghrebis like in middleschool I was bullied by normies
>>
>class full of guys
it was chill af desu famalam
>>
How does your country's highscool experience compare to the stereotypical American experience?
>>
Looking back, People were only nice to me because I gave off a school shooter type of vibe.
>>
Was fucking pathetic. Had to endure bullying, the upcoming final exams and standard teenage problems at the same time.
University was so, so much better.

Should have stayed at my old school with all my friends.
At me new one I basically has no friends and then I just sank in one could say.

I was blind as a mole to my females classmate's advances. Don't know if it is interesting enough.
>>
>>79069929
Way more boring. European schools are ridiculously disregarded in Europe, at the very least compared to the infrastructures Americans have in theirs, which is especially weird since we're loads more socialist too... Basically, no one in a European HS has any reason to hang out there, so we leave as soon as classes end, and there's a lot less activities and gossip that happens inside the school that way.

Also, our school year isn't punctuated by events like prom, or football games, so there isn't really anything to set any week apart from the other.

You get in a 8, leave at 6, see your friends at home if you have any. Repeat.
>>
>>79069208
Very very autistic. Never had much friends aside from a close circle of associates. Walked around campus reciting the rosary in my head during lunchtime most days during my senior year and did not hang out with people outside of my chess club and classrooms.

Yeah that's why fictions about American HS always seem exaggerated.

Oh well, at least it prepares you for life in an office.
>>
>>79070271
I've actually made some friends there, had travels with the mates around the country for free (the university used to send us to science conventions and science fares) hugged a girl for the first time, got my first job experience in Moscow (was getting paid there more than both of my parents combined). It was pretty fun.
>>
>>79070440
Its good for other people who have a large group of friends and are involved in a bunch of extracricular activities and are chads those people usually have good memories from high school. For me it was boring.
>>
>>79070173
I hope you live in bc.
>>
>>79069208
i went here for high school 10-12th grade
pretty shit school desu
>>
>>79070440
I guess it teaches you how to cope with not having fun.

American highschools, with the exception of the inner-city ones, are very much like those you see in movies. Cliques clearly exist like in The Breakfast Club and love drama and car races exist like in Grease.
>>
>>79070655
Looks like a multi-level parking lot
>>
Having distinct primary, middle and high schools is such a weird concept to me.
>>
>>79070600
I don't know about that. Maybe I shouldn't have have delusions like this about it, but I always thought the diversity of American HS meant you had more of a shot at getting a girlfriend. Here, in France, my class was strung pretty tightly together (we don't have "courses" like Americans), so the only identifiable clique that there was was the guy clique and the girl clique. Meaning there was only one clique you had any opportunity at becoming popular one, and they're very normie cliques to say the least: being funny and oood-looking guarantees you'll be popular there, but that's it really.

Meanwhile, if I had been an American, there would've so many mufugging cliques, and I would've simply walked up to the "ditzy so random" clique of girls, and asked one out.

>>79070672
Trust me, American college is even more difficult for us to wrap our heads around.
>>
class of 33 people, only 4 guys besides me.

women are insufferable cunts in general but the plus side was I actually went to the ball at the end of it (studniówka) and I didn't have to fucking invite anyone since I was the one being invited.
She was a proper qt too.

Besides the social ineptitude, I don't regret much. Suffered from depression at the time so didn't help much, and I was the weird one who liked anime. Would also sperg out in political science/English class when current events were being discussed and you had people in class arguing for "nothing to hide, nothing to fear".

Did anyone else get foreign exchange students? My high School regularly hosted French students and I always laugh at how disappointing it must've been to come all this way to go to a public high school for a week or two.
>>
>>79071313
Once, in middle school. From Israel.
Everyone was taking pictures with them against the wall with a door that said "Main Gas Valve".
They didn't get the joke for their entire stay here.
>>
>>79070923
You are 100% correct about the chances you have to obtain gf. There are clearly stratified cliques of girls (music, drama, nerds, normies, one for each sport, stoners, and many more). However, it is very difficult to switch cliques but gets easier the larger your school is. Mine was 4,000 students.

American colleges require you to still do work, but we are forced to take a lot of bullshit classes that have nothing to do with our field of study. For most students, it is an extension of highschool but this time you are away from home and you can party all you want. Most party people drop out or burn out before 2 years though
>>
>>79069208
Korean high school was starting from 8 am and finishing at 6 pm but the school has 'voluntary' study session from 6 pm to 10 pm. I was exempt from that as I was preparing for American college which my school can do nothing about it (I went cram schools from 6 pm to 10 pm to study for SATs, APs, and all those stuffs)

It was kinda boring as I only thought about go to American college and permanently leave Korea and immigrate to the US after graduating from an American college. I barely had no friend there as well because I was doing something totally different from the rest of school and I didn't have that much of common interest.

I have no regret about going to that school as I managed to go to one of Ivy League colleges anyway.

Lower-class New York City here. Everyone knew everyone and nobody went to school regularly. All the rich kids went to private schools and seemed to live in a separate world—they couldn't open their mouths without saying some ridiculous condescending shit, so barely anyone talked to them. Started drinking and smoking and lost my virginity at 12. No regrets but idk if I'd raise my kid here.
>>
>got out of an embarrassing emo phase in middle school
>had a small circle of friends, with my two best friends being an memetastic autist, a future incestuous sociopath with a stuttering problem, and a female weeaboo who's incredibly fragile to the point of crumpling if she's so much as touched by surprise.
>fairly well known and respected by a lot of people because I was smart as shit, a fairly talented violinist, and my cousin worked in student council and our theater department.
>I still keep my circle to a minimum of 4 to 5 people tops however, as I'm so bad at names that large friend circles intimidate me.
>decide on my last year to go out in "style" and join the theater department for a rendition of the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee musical.
>HOLY SHIT THIS KID CAN ACT
>Also have an incontestable bass.
>Circle of friends jump from 5 to 15 in the course of 2 months.
>Become legit popular by the end of the year, to the point where I have multiple girls I could go to prom with including weeaboo crumple girl who I knew liked me from the very beginning.
>
>I go with no one, as to not hurt any girls feelings, though in retrospect I just ended up hurting everybody.
>I start writing fanfiction, first as a joke to enrage my stuttering friend, but then seriously when people start to praise my work online.
>Eventually I go out of my city for college, and most of the ties I've made have all but faded.
>Fully aware that I was going to leave my city, I made sure to turn down every offer to date that came my way, as to "not hurt anybody."

Now I'm friends with a literal chad, with a new duo of girls after my cock, and a dank ass position in my colleges audio play department, yet I'm falling into the exact same traps as I had in highschool. On the bright side, I've transitioned from writing fanfiction to making amateur novels, so there's some sense of progression.

>So, how was your High School /int/?
Really bad. It was full of ostracism and bullying/mockery by both boys and girls (but mostly from boys) and harassment by some teachers. It may be one of the reasons why I'm a bitter imbecile.

>Any teenage regrets?
Yes. Despite being mocked and even humilliated due to my physical appearance multiple times to the point it drove me to develop low self-esteem (which brought me even more trouble due to the behaviors in which it manifested), I still had a couple of chances to score a girlfriend (according to my way more sociable and experienced cousin, who also happened to know one of the girls who were suppossedly interested in me), but didn't came to fruition because of a mix of ineptitude, low self-esteem complex, anxiety and fear to get my feelings trampled and mocked. I now regret now swallowing those emotions and just going with the flow.

I went to one that was fantastic and almost a perfectly cliche american high school, and then some shit one in a different state filled with mexicans and trailer trash and I absolutely hated it.
I'm sure all sorts of weird shit happened but I was hardly involved with anyone to know. The teachers I had were based as fuck though.

a swedish kid got sent back for partying because his hosts were religious or something; there was also a korean or phillipino kid, but their exchanges were (supposed to be) for the whole year or more. I think they were the only two.

Be nice, trust your peers, and try to enjoyable to be around. That's it.

I'm >>79071692 and every ounce of attraction I've ever gotten is because I'm kind, willing to compromise my schedule, and very witty. I'm not even a Chad like my friend, yet I'm happier than him because I can make a relationship stick with just these three principles...I just can't commit on said relationship for the life of me.

Also, if you've got something people like, take advantage of that something. That's how I kept functioning relationships during my emo phase.

Like a fucking TV series. Not that I didn't want it at the beginning, but it became a fucking mess at the end.

>be lonely for pretty much the whole junior HS
>form a group of four in HS with pretty cool guys
>fall in love with one of them
>get distant with him
>another one moves to Newcastle
>the guy i fell in love with gets a gf, my classmate too
>awkward.mp3
>declare but knew i didn't have any chance
>he rejects me but becomes super best friend with me
>but the group definetely splits when the Newcastle guy comes back for Christmas, I was about to move school (didn't at the end) to stop feeling depressed in class
>the Newcastle guy in the meantime becomes my best friend
>time passes and the Newcastle guy comes back after I talked with his mother, since he was getting depressed in England
>super best friend with him for months
>he suddenly decides to stop talking to me one week after the new academic year and gets close again to the guy i fell in love with
>the loved guy breaks up

Now image the awkward situation in the classroom, we were ALL classmates, here in italy you have the same classmates for all classes. The guy I fell in love eventually moved, the Newcastle guy failed the year, and kept failing the following year.

Learnt a lot from these experiences though.
I don't really have regrets. What i did not do was either something I couldn't afford or something I couldn't get with money (i.e. love)
