Why are Americans more resourceful, less coward, more pragmatic than the socialist Europeans and don't wait for the nanny State for anything?

In my opinion, it's because of 2 main things
1- It's the poor, the pariahs, the destitute people who were exclude of the society in Europe who moved to America
2- The frontier and West conquest

It forged the fighting and persisting American spirit

Maybe old America
Today, resourcefulness and independence is not valued as high as consistency in an economy that is mostly service-based.
