That's not how it works, though. It's not like the queen gives commands or anything, she's just the reproductive organ of the superorganism that is an ant colony. In fact, ants don't need hierarchies because every ant knows what it has to do by instinct. It's not possible to draw a comparison to any human form of organization because we're not a superorganism working towards a common goal.

The point is that it all comes naturally to ants, whereas with humans you have to beat cooperation into them, make them perform useful tasks using a market, and so forth. So at best we're an "artificial superorganism", held together mainly by memes rather than genes.
